Life's journey can sometimes be overwhelming, leading us to feel stuck or uncertain about how to improve ourselves or our situations. Therapy offers a nurturing path towards healing and growth, beginning with specific issues and progressively uncovering broader areas for meaningful change. I strive to ensure this journey is supportive, affirming, and thoughtfully challenging.

My professional history involves working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Recognizing the impact of traumatic events on one’s mental and emotional well-being, I employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients heal and regain a sense of control over their lives. Through a trauma-informed lens, I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and work toward post-traumatic growth.
I seek to walk with the clients I work with and create an environment that empowers them to not only cope with today but develop deep and sustainable change that will influence their lives as well as the lives of others in their communities. This background also prompts me to consider how structural inequities impact physical and mental health and how therapy can be one of many tools toward healing from historical and contemporary social issues.
My clients all have different backgrounds and goals but they found me because they wanted a therapist who would challenge them. Areas of interest and experience for me include, but are not limited to trauma stemming from: abuse, family of origin, relationships with people who have personality disorder, and grief (particularly after suicide loss); addiction, depression, anxiety, and spiritual growth.

My clients find that they worked really hard to get to where they are, only to find that they're still struggling. They often look like they have it all together, but on the inside they are in turmoil. Together, we work to find the root of the pain and how to heal it, allowing you to live your life in the way that you want. My clients tell me they feel more connected and caring toward themselves and are better able to nurture relationships that add to their lives.
Life can feel hard and sometimes discouraging. Do you feel lost or struggle with depression, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, or stressful life events? Therapy is a place of insight, growth, change, and healing. I understand how scary it can be to take that step to be open and vulnerable when you are struggling. I am here to build a genuine supportive connection with you on your journey working through difficult situations and feelings.
As a counselor, I believe in creating a warm, safe and trusting environment so that you can process your feelings, thoughts and triggers. You are the expert on your life. My goal is to provide a non judgemental and compassionate space to let life’s complexities and contradictions unfold. I approach counseling with curiosity and believe that through asking questions, listening and discerning, profound change can occur.
Are you struggling to find motivation or purpose? Is it hard getting out of bed in the morning some or most days? Do you feel like your life isn't where you had hoped it would be by now? I love working with individuals, couples, and adult families who are looking to grow and heal in ways that emphasize their unique human experience and authenticity. This might look like someone who is trying to forge their own path after being stuck in negative patterns such as codependency or perfectionism. It may look like a couple who wants to deepen their emotional or sexual intimacy. I love helping clients discover who they truly are--either as an individual or in relationship to others!
You struggle with feeling like no one gets you. Sometimes you struggle to understand yourself. It feels like "Groundhog Day," and you just want today to look and feel different... maybe even better. You've adapted and survived, often by stating that "it wasn't so bad," but at the same time, wondering how you ended up feeling so lost. You long for understanding, healing, and wellness. I look forward to helping you get there!
Everyone’s pathway through life is uniquely their own, and I believe you are the expert on your own life. I believe your personal worldview and lived reality are absolutely integral to the therapeutic process. I work with couples and individuals both in-person and via telehealth. I embrace inclusivity of gender expression, sexual orientation, and alternative lifestyles, and am both sex positive and body affirming in my beliefs and approach.
Are you feeling stuck in your personal life or in your relationship? Have unhealthy patterns caused you pain and insecurity? If the answer is yes to either of these questions, I can help. I help clients move from shame and insecurity towards authenticity and a life that feels fulfilling.
Do you find yourself asking questions like “what am I doing with my life?”, “what do I want?”, “where am I going?” Do you feel stuck, unsure of your place in the world? Do you live with fear, anxiety, and existential dread? You’re in the right place. I love sitting with clients as they wrestle these deep questions. I don’t have your answers (I wish I did!), but I can provide support, understanding, and tools to help you find the answers you need.
