Clients let me into the depths of their mind, heart, and spirit. I also let you into mine, from time to time, as therapeutically appropriate. No topic is off the table in therapy unless you say it is. I thrive facilitating an environment where you'll feel comfortable relatively quick sharing all of your hurts and frustrations.
Life can feel hard and sometimes discouraging. Do you feel lost or struggle with depression, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, or stressful life events? Therapy is a place of insight, growth, change, and healing. I understand how scary it can be to take that step to be open and vulnerable when you are struggling. I am here to build a genuine supportive connection with you on your journey working through difficult situations and feelings.
You are not a walking problem, and there is more to life than coping. I imagine that (rightfully so) you're in this search because you're looking for a way out of your suffering. Great! I'd like to suggest that you can find even more: a greater connection to yourself, and a life truly worth living. I tend to work with people who haven't gotten what they need from therapy by changing their mindset. When trauma gets stuck in the body, the only way "out" is through a deeper connection with self.
Life's journey can sometimes be overwhelming, leading us to feel stuck or uncertain about how to improve ourselves or our situations. Therapy offers a nurturing path towards healing and growth, beginning with specific issues and progressively uncovering broader areas for meaningful change. I strive to ensure this journey is supportive, affirming, and thoughtfully challenging.

I help people who are struggling to develop a strong sense of self worth. I often work with people exploring identity and self esteem Who are experiencing symptoms like high anxiety, depression, difficulty coping with stress, and intrusive negative thoughts. Some therapists focus only on the symptoms which can feel incomplete. I listen deeply to hear what’s going on underneath. I help you process the old stories and beliefs held deep within that are cutting you off from your true self.
We all have moments in our lives when we need a little extra support, and it is a sign of strength to reach out for help in those times. It is in this spirit that I work to create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment in which together we can explore these challenges, heal wounds, engage your strengths, and learn new skills to help you live your best life.
Do you feel you are stuck? Struggling to find enjoyment in life, work, and love? Do you feel disconnected with your partner, or lack energy and desire to seek and maintain a relationship? Do you find yourself feeling negative, angry, or sad? Are you hiding your true self out of fear of what others will think? Do you find yourself turning to alcohol or drugs to calm your brain down? Are you entering the stage of life where the kids are leaving, or dealing with aging parents? I can help you!
I work with individuals looking to navigate life transitions and challenges as their authentic and genuine selves. Individuals looking for a deeper understanding of their relationships: romantic, family, friendship, roommate, and more. Clients who want to cultivate healthy dependence in their closest relationships. Parents ready to learn how their family’s generational parenting patterns inform their relationship with themselves and their kids and develop new, effective parenting methods.
My clients struggle as you do. Despite being smart, determined and kind, life is hard. When they first come in, they experience thoughts and emotions as too intense. They have trouble relaxing and feel like anxiety has taken over their life. Before therapy, they put a lot of pressure on themselves and felt guilt and shame for struggling. ‘Other people seem to have it all together, why can’t they?’ Like my clients, you deserve to find peace and fulfillment in life. I'd love to help you get there.

I seek to walk with the clients I work with and create an environment that empowers them to not only cope with today but develop deep and sustainable change that will influence their lives as well as the lives of others in their communities. This background also prompts me to consider how structural inequities impact physical and mental health and how therapy can be one of many tools toward healing from historical and contemporary social issues.
My professional history involves working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Recognizing the impact of traumatic events on one’s mental and emotional well-being, I employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients heal and regain a sense of control over their lives. Through a trauma-informed lens, I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and work toward post-traumatic growth.
My clients all have different backgrounds and goals but they found me because they wanted a therapist who would challenge them. Areas of interest and experience for me include, but are not limited to trauma stemming from: abuse, family of origin, relationships with people who have personality disorder, and grief (particularly after suicide loss); addiction, depression, anxiety, and spiritual growth.
As a counselor, I believe in creating a warm, safe and trusting environment so that you can process your feelings, thoughts and triggers. You are the expert on your life. My goal is to provide a non judgemental and compassionate space to let life’s complexities and contradictions unfold. I approach counseling with curiosity and believe that through asking questions, listening and discerning, profound change can occur.

I love working with individuals, couples, and adult families who are looking to grow and heal in ways that emphasize their unique human experience and authenticity. This might look like someone who is trying to forge their own path after being stuck in negative patterns such as codependency or perfectionism. It may look like a couple who wants to deepen their emotional or sexual intimacy. I love helping clients discover who they truly are--either as an individual or in relationship to others!
Whether you are navigating grief and loss, shame or low self-worth, difficulty in your relationships, symptoms of anxiety or depression, or are working through the impacts of stress, abuse, grief, or trauma - you don't have to do it alone. I work best with clients who are naturally self-reflective and existential thinkers, looking for new ways to experience their life and relationships.
Are you struggling to find motivation or purpose? Is it hard getting out of bed in the morning some or most days? Do you feel like your life isn't where you had hoped it would be by now? You're not alone, and you've come to the right place. I empower burnt-out professionals and young adults to prioritize their long-term health and happiness and take concrete steps to reach their goals in life, work, and love.
