Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. Have you been dealing with anxiety lately? Or perhaps you've noticed you haven't felt like yourself and you're not sure how that feeling occurred in the first place? I've been there, dealing with anxiety or other unpleasant feelings is never a fun thing, and although some of these feelings are things we have to deal with throughout life, that doesn't mean these feelings should control us. Together, we can set goals to overcome/manage the obstacles that these issues bring.
You are a professional or a student and you are tired. You have worked hard to get where you are, but you are not happy. You are overwhelmed and worried about the future. Maybe you are even having intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, or nightmares. You either have great self-care routines and they just aren't cutting it or you just don't even have the time for self-care. Either way you are drowning. Something has to give and it is time to take stock and make some changes.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages who hold multiple minority identities and are seeking identity development, trauma therapy, or parent training. Many of my clients have jokingly described me as a "process consultant" and "professional poker". I can treat a range of mental health concerns but highly enjoy serving the local LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent community. I have experience writing letters in support of gender-affirming medical interventions (e.g., hormone treatment and surgery).
