Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
Are you struggling to see the forest for the trees? Are you stuck in cycles that are keeping you on the hamster wheel? Together, we can create a plan to zoom out and help rewrite the cycles. "An object at rest remains at rest, or if in motion, remains in motion at a constant velocity unless acted on by a net external force." I love getting to know my clients and their preferences so we can use what you prefer and makes sense to you during the course of our work together.

I do my best work with people 18 and older trying to improve the most important relationships there are--the ones with themselves and their romantic partners. This often looks like anxiety and depression individually, and feeling unable to communicate effectively in intimate relationships. I love using a mind/body/spirit approach to those open to it, always with the goal of helping people feel more confident, better able to set boundaries, and be more at peace in their own skin and homes.
Given the climate we find ourselves in, it can be difficult to slow down, to pause. If you feel like you struggle with accessing and processing your emotions, have difficulty with a life event or transition, want to change habits, struggle in relationships, or are uncomfortable in your body, I'm here for you. I work with kids, teens, adults, families, and couples to explore communication with self and others using mindfulness and evidence-based practices to develop holistic and lasting care.
I believe in my clients to have the ability to make changes and live the life they want. I do not have set expectations but work with each person individually. I think of our relationship as a partnership and I am here to help you identify goals and the areas of your life you want to work on. The concerns I have helped clients with include depression, anxiety, family conflict, parenting, marriage, relationship issues, school issues, PTSD, divorce, LBGTQ and co-parenting.
My ideal client would be someone who may struggle with anxiety and depression related issues, but wants to truly heal and gain insight about themselves. They may want to increase their healthy coping skills, improve their relationships and improve their quality of life. They would be receptive to feedback and also be willing to give their honest perspective on their life and their experience of therapy.
