My clients often begin therapy citing anxious and/or depressive symptoms tied to complex concerns challenging their pursuits of meaningful living. Some have difficulties managing stress related to their relationships, work/study, and/or identity. Some struggle with the loss of someone or something important. Others feel rudderless, uncertain about how to steer their life in a more fulfilling direction. I have also had success helping people with past negative therapy/psychiatric experiences.

As a hakomi-mindfulness based therapist: I help individuals access greater self-knowing, self-love and grow the competencies for navigating life as a journey. I help couples' transform their relationships into containers for realizing their epic evolutionary potential. I help teen girls discover and live from their authenticity. My women's groups help women dismantle oppressive conditioning and access the power, creative expression and purpose that is waiting within them.
I work with clients aged. 18-65, with varying concerns including depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, bipolar, marital and interpersonal concerns, marriage/relationship and parenting difficulties. I am body positive, and especially enjoy supporting and working with the kink, poly, and LGBTQI communities.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
Are you feeling burned out and overwhelmed with everything on your plate, trying to cope with relationship issues and past abuse and traumas, dealing with anxiety, self-esteem and confidence issues? I know it can be exhausting and feel like you can't find your way out of the constant spiral. The holistic, client centered techniques I use will guide you to reduce stress and anxiety, and help you finally heal from those past hurts, so you can finally have peace, joy, and harmony in your life.
Did you grow up in a controlling, high-demand religious environment? The adverse experiences in this type of setting can lead to feeling like you don't know who you are or what you believe. You may feel torn apart, like there are multiple versions of you in different settings. This can affect the way you treat romantic partners, coworkers, and authority figures. You may also feel conflicted about your identity, your sexuality, and even your body.

My clients come from all walks of life. Most often I work with trans folks, other people in the LGBTQ community, and those who are part of the kink, poly, non-monogamous, or other sex positive communities. It is important to me to provide a space where someone doesn't need to explain their life or face judgement to improve their access to needed care.
My approach to therapy is warm, interactive and direct. My clients develop a more compassionate understanding of who they are as human beings. My clients are people who want to learn to change what isn't working in their lives, their relationships, and within themselves. My clients are looking to heal old wounds, and change the things holding them back in their life. They are looking to strengthen their resiliency, grow deeper self knowledge, self mastery,, and stop neglecting themselves.
My clients are womxn, genderqueer, and nonbinary folx; parents seeking clarity and more peaceful ways of relating; adults in all life stages; anyone struggling to make sense of their childhood; those recovering from loss and trauma; anyone seeking to recover from the impact of oppression on their well-being. We all find ourselves struggling at times. I welcome the chance to journey with you toward greater self-awareness, creativity, and connection.
I help clients who are dealing with many different issues, including anxiety, family-of-origin issues, couples/relationship issues, & depression. I specialize in alternative lifestyles. My passion is helping clients from any or all of the following groups: geeky, LGBTQIA+, BDSM/kinky, polyamorous/non-monogamous, alternative spiritualities and/or atheists. If you’re searching for an effective and caring therapist who can understand your unique situation, you’ve come to the right person.

I work with teens, adults, and couples and/or multi-partnered romantic partnerships. I specialize in family and relational issues, anxiety, depression, issues of self-harm, issues of self-esteem and bullying, and personal growth and development. I actively welcome and consider the unique identity make up of my clients, and through an anti-oppression framework to integrate their unique identities and experiences into our work together.
Acknowledging that you might be in over your head isn't weak, it's wise. If you’ve tried everything you can think of to feel better, but your mind still attacks you or relationships always seem to go sour or you never quite feel at ease even when everything's OK, maybe it's time to look a little deeper. It's not that cutting off toxic people or upping your cardio won't help, because they probably will! But sometimes the wound goes deeper than that or the situation you're in is just too much.
Many of my clients tend to be queer, young adults who have experienced childhood trauma and are prepared to begin the healing journey, or perhaps pickup where they may have previously left off. I also work with queer folks who have had negative, abusive, or toxic experiences within church/religion because of their gender or sexuality. This is certainly not an exclusive list but meant to provide insight into where my passion and expertise lie.
I love to work with clients who really want to be done with their suffering, but don't know how to do that. Maybe you've experienced abuse or neglect, assault, the sudden death of a loved one. I trust that you have the capacity to heal, and we can work together to help make that a reality.
Whether it’s your relationship with yourself, your partner, or your baby, I know how to help foster connection and unconditional love. I specialize in working with the perinatal period - preparing yourself and your relationship to welcome another life into the world is a deep passion of mine. Other specializations include learning new communication techniques for better conflicts, understanding how ADHD affects one's life and relationships, and providing premarital counseling to couples.

My clients explore many facets of their lives with me, including their feelings of anxiety and depression. I also walk alongside people who are navigating their racial identity. Others are in a space of transition in their career paths and personal relationships. Finally, I specialize in working with people grieving a loss in their life, whether through death or the many inevitable endings that occur throughout our lifetime.
You were raised by perfectionistic, critical and well meaning Asian Immigrant parents, who praised your achievements and shamed you for your mistakes. You learn at an early age that getting achievements gives you a sense of security and validation, but it is short lived because the pressure is never ending. You earn top grades, get into a prestigious university and a high earning job, but find that it is extremely difficult to slow down and listen to your body.
I work primarily with adults over 30 years of age. A few of my specialties include working with: depression, trauma, grief, codependency, major life-transitions, betrayal, anxiety, as well as process addictions (behavioral addictions). In addition, I have a passion for those who identify as Highly Sensitive and Anxious Attachment styles.
