Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma - especially in the larger social context as I’m a politicized healer and approach therapy from an abolition stance. I have experience working with people struggling with finding purpose & meaning, identity issues, relationships and workplace difficulties. My specialization areas include eco-therapy, intergenerational trauma, attachment, social justice, nervous system and somatics. Passionate about providing trauma informed care.
My clients often begin therapy citing anxious and/or depressive symptoms tied to complex concerns challenging their pursuits of meaningful living. Some have difficulties managing stress related to their relationships, work/study, and/or identity. Some struggle with the loss of someone or something important. Others feel rudderless, uncertain about how to steer their life in a more fulfilling direction. I have also had success helping people with past negative therapy/psychiatric experiences.

WE all learned limiting beliefs in childhood which helped us survive childhood but no longer serve us as adults. We also carry unresolved emotions from past events, like fear, anxiety, anger and shame which keep us stuck in hurtful patterns. Therapy is the process of challenging these core beliefs, healing unresolved emotions and replacing patterns that no longer serve us. This allows us to live a more authentic life, experience more intimacy in relationships and experience more confidence.
I specialize in LGBTQIA+ issues, transgender and gender diverse individuals, neurodiversity, and substance use. Additionally, I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation, life changes, and relational issues
