Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. Understanding and addressing clients' mental health needs is paramount in coaching, fostering a supportive environment where individuals can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards achieving holistic well-being.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

Relationships are hard. Dating and finding a healthy partner is hard, and maintaining that relationship is a lot of work. Throw in a job, maybe some kids and pets, and somehow time to get to the gym? Crazy hard. But when you have a relationship that is great, that really makes you a better version of yourself? Amazing. Nothing compares. And that's why I work with couples, because relationships are hard work, but having a great one is totally worth all the work.
