Does this sound familiar? You’re a high achieving individual and to the outside world, you seem “fine.” Maybe even better than fine, others likely see you as having it all together. The picture of success. They’d be surprised to learn that internally you struggle to feel fine and in fact, sometimes, you feel like you’re not good enough at anything. The perfectionistic standards are impossible. The self-criticism is depleting. The emotional labor is exhausting. I get it and I can help!

I love to help folks get "unstuck," whether that's about relationship issues, family conflict, career, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, loss, divorce, and other life transitions. I work with clients to disrupt unhelpful patterns, heal wounds, and find creative approaches to life’s challenges. I also enjoy the challenge of helping couples navigate conflict and learn the potential healing power of increased closeness in their relationship.
Our clients come from diverse background with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, anger management, parenting problems, career challenges, self-esteem/confidence issues, intellectual/developmental disabilities, Asperger/autism spectrum disorder, attention deficient, trauma/PTSD, oppositional behaviors, and immigration/acculturation/adjustment issues. Our Goal is to create a safe, open, and non-judgmental environmental for our clients to be heard, supported, and motivated.
My patients are young adults to older adults, individuals and couples of any kind, people of all ethnicities, races, religions, sexuality, and gender-identities. People had been focused on the issues of CoVid, but those fears have gotten more minimal for now. Currently, people are bringing in conflicts around relationships, work life, or family issues. And some people emphasize wanting to improve their own issues. Stressful times need expert help.
My specialty areas include navigating infertility and childlessness, managing anxiety, ADHD, stress around work, family, dating, relationships, college and life transitions. I am licensed in and accepting clients from Oregon, New York and Washington.
Clients who find me tend to be seeking a place to unpack current difficulties, identify problem areas and explore previous emotional injuries. Clients tend to stay to gain understanding, develop self awareness and take control where they feel disempowered. I work with clients of different gender identities, relationship structures, sexualities, economic and occupational backgrounds.

Grief can impact every aspect of life: relationships, behaviors, thoughts and emotions. Emotional pain can make you dread going to sleep, waking up, eating and even interacting with loved ones. Losing a loved one, having a life dream shattered or learning something about yourself or a family member that shakes you to the core can feel incredibly isolating. But major losses in life can also open doors to big transformations. That's what therapy is for, it can help you get to the other side.
Sometimes life is really hard and we need a space to express our thoughts, feelings and experiences that continue to hurt today. Possibly you have experienced a trauma or stressful event that still impacts you. You may be depressed, anxious or are having problems in your relationships or at work. Perhaps you are struggling with managing your stress and know that something needs to change but you aren’t sure what steps to take. Therapy is a safe place to learn new strategies to heal.
You may be experiencing anxiety and depression and looking for tools to express your emotions and manage your physical symptoms. You may over intellectualize and have a hard time connecting to, understanding and expressing your feelings. Life changes affect how we identify ourselves, our relationship with ourselves and with other people. It's possible to discover strength in yourself and learn tools to help you get unstuck from current and past challenges.
Most of my clients have been trying their hardest, often for years, to find peace within themselves that they never quite are able to grasp. They've experienced recurrent, sometimes severe episodes of depression and anxiety and tend to have unsatisfying, difficult relationships with many ups and downs. My clients find that the treatment that I provide, Mentalization-based Treatment (MBT) can help them feel more stable and find more satisfaction in their relationships.
I work closely with adults of varying age and life experience - particularly those clients who are struggling with anxiety and depression, those experiencing relationship difficulty, identify as LGBTQIA+, are participants in non-monogamous and polyamorous, kink and alt-sex communities, and those who are simply looking for a practitioner whose approach is non-judgmental and genuinely sex-positive.

Clients often seek me out to work on binge eating disorder and body image through a HAES approach, neurodivergent support, and to feel safe working on ENM/Poly, LGBTQ, kink/SW issues with an affirmative therapist. They're seeking a clear and active approach to feel more in alignment with themselves, values, and goals. My clients are often high-achieving, people pleasers who have coping mechanisms that are no longer working for them; they're ready for change and to begin attuning to themselves.
You're tired of being stuck in the same unhelpful patterns. Anxiety affects everything - your work, your relationships, your self-confidence. You feel like you're "too much" or "too sensitive" for everyone in your life. I can help. I work with women who are ready to get unstuck from unhelpful patterns, heal long-held anxiety and trauma, and show up authentically and unapologetically.
Do you feel like you're life could use a tune-up but you're not sure where to start? Do you feel like you could use help navigating your relationships, at work or home? Sometimes a fresh set of eyes and ears can be a great help in getting to know yourself better and getting you on the road to a more fulfilling existence. I know what it means to feel stuck and overwhelmed and I look forward to helping you start to untangle outdated ways of coping so you can live fuller and with more ease.

People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Maybe you are tired of your own BS and are finally ready to make lasting change. Perhaps, your romantic relationships, family connections, or friendships are lackluster, unfulfilling and you’re ready to set yourself up for relationship success. You may have gone through major (or even minor) life changes and now feel like old patterns that you had once resolved are coming back to haunt you.
Are you stressed? Are you finding it hard to navigate life? Are your relationships suffering? If you responded "yes" to any of these questions, I'd love to help you! Stress, anxiety, depression, and other issues can make life challenging. Dealing with it all can feel overwhelming. You don't have to go it alone when counseling is available. (Now accepting clients in Louisiana and New Jersey!!)
My ideal client is one who is searching for counseling for the first time or has a new or ongoing life stressors that has resurfaced. That want to be heard in a safe, non judgmental, and confidential environment. As part of the human race; we all have skeletons in our closet. We all have made mistakes.Believe me I make some daily, and even make some continually. We are all vulnerable. We all have what we show the world and what we show a select few.
