Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
I do my best work with humans at the intersection of queer and neurodivergent. I utilize lived experience as a late-diagnosed AuDHDer, and have had success working with self-diagnosed or late diagnosed Autistic folx. I enjoy helping clients unpack and grow through their family of origin issues, those who have experienced oppression and trauma, and people who are deconstructing their faith and healing from religious abuse and trauma.
I believe that everyone needs at least one person in their life that "breathes life" into that person. Just as we need air to breathe, we need affirmation, understanding & connection--especially when dealing with our most intimate issues. Before we can bare our souls, we must be able to trust someone. Learning to take that first step is the hardest, but I will be there to journey alongside you teaching you to trust yourself and encourage you to learn new tools to thrive again.
