Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

Do you feel stuck? Disconnected from yourself and everyone around you? Hiding from everything because it feels too exhausting to do anything more than basic functioning? Are you taking care of everyone else and neglecting yourself? Do you worry about EVERYTHING and question every choice you make or thought you have? Do you feel overwhelmed, wondering if you’re good enough, or if you’ll finally be seen and accepted for who you are? I see you. You are not alone.
My ideal client will be treated as an individual, acknowledging that your learning and healing process is unique. Our goals will be to make sense of your issues once we put all the pieces together. I am to work alongside you as an ally in your healing process, align with your needs, challenge you towards growth, and support your independence and openness. I hope to offer you some relief as soon as possible, so be ready to work, and have your sense of humor ready too!
You’ve gone to therapy before, but nothing seems to stick. The things you’ve always done to cope aren’t working, but you can’t break free from those patterns no matter how hard you try. You have a hard time setting boundaries, advocating for yourself, and making the changes you want. You’re having memory issues and shutting down. You feel helpless, broken, and unacceptable. Your inner critic is loud and tough. You’re on edge all the time and exhausted. It's like you've been shattered to pieces.
Most of my work focuses on working with folks in the LGBTQIA spectrum to heal trauma, improve relationships, explore sex and develop a sense of wellbeing. During our initial sessions we will explore your life, your issues, and your goals to build a collaborative way forward. Throughout our work we will look to build insight and shine a light on all of the pieces that make you, you.
My ideal client is someone who seeks understanding and support while navigating personal challenges. They may be struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, or significant life transitions, and are ready to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment. They value collaboration and are open to using evidence-based approaches like CBT to develop practical coping skills. This client is motivated to make meaningful changes and is looking for compassionate ally.

Life is tough and so are you. Maybe therapy seems like something you don't "need," but you want to move from surviving to thriving and know something needs to change. You want to feel better and get some relief but are not sure how to get there. Whether this is your first-time seeking therapy, or you have been before, it can be overwhelming to share your story with a new person. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can get to know each other and see if I am a good fit.
I offer telehealth counseling services to diverse client populations experiencing a host of challenges. One of the primary populations I treat is young adults experiencing difficulty with major life transitions, relationships, and future-planning concerns. Additionally, I have enjoyed my work treating couples, especially those with a history of substance abuse in one or more partners. I'm proud to offer an inclusive space for clients regardless of identity or background.

If you struggle with self-doubt, self-criticism, poor body image, low motivation, excess anxiety, obsessive or intrusive thoughts, never feel good enough, or always put your needs last, go ahead and give me a call. I specialize in treating mature teens and adults with OCD and other anxiety-related issues. I work with parents of anxious children to help them learn how to support their kids and reduce their anxiety, as well as work with parents struggling with adult children who have become dependent (failure to launch). I also have extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I enjoy helping clients explore their life story and establish connections from their past with their current behavioral patterns. As we go through life, we often receive messages that having certain emotions are bad. When we experience hurt, rejection and/or abandonment especially as a result of trauma we often become overly focused on finding ways to prevent ourselves from experiencing pain. This often comes at a cost which can then often compound the pain we are feeling.
Does it seem depression and anxiety have stolen your zest for life? Are you working through relationship challenges and looking to reconnect? Are you grieving the loss of a loved one, your home, or lifestyle? If you experience depression, anxiety, substance misuse, mood instability, or other mental health challenges, I want to support you in improving your quality of life. Life doesn’t have to be full of lows and racing thoughts that prevent you from living life to the fullest.
