I provide therapy services to adolescents and adults of all ages. I specialize in helping individuals struggling with relationship problems, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and grief. I have experience helping individuals with social anxiety, school/work-related stress, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, gender dysphoria, family conflict, and life transitions such as divorce, moving to a new city, job transition, and becoming a parent.
My experience with clients tend to be adults between the ages of 18-65, across the racial, gender, and sexual orientation spectrum; I work with individuals, couples, and occasionally facilitate a DBT Skills Group. I hold space for those who’ve felt like outsiders—whether due to trauma, race, queerness, or a combination of underserved or historically excluded identities. As a queer, kinky, poly Black man, my own lived experience brings an extra layer of understanding to my work.

My primary specialization is in working with folks who are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I love working with trans, queer, nonbinary and gender expansive community, students, disabled people, & non-monogamous.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I am open to working with anyone who is willing to work on themselves and I am always open to learning as that is a life long journey.

As a relational therapist, I recognize that our connections with others are the basis of both the greatest struggles and the greatest rewards we can know. I desire to work with people who are seeking to flesh out their sense of identity and strengths, and through doing so, relate to others more authentically and skillfully.

I have experience working with people of many different backgrounds (socioeconomic, race, gender). I very much look forward to meeting you, learning from you (remember, you are the expert of you), and our working together to help you go where you want to go.
My emphases are addressing mental health of marginalized groups, and understanding how culture should be respected and acknowledged in the therapeutic space. As I continue to work on obtaining my doctorate in psychology, my interventions and approach to treatment informs me how to customize the therapeutic space for each client and praise our differences while promoting inner healing. Creating emotional space and showing the power of it helps my clients narrate their lives once more.
Let's go on a journey of exploration together, where we can discover ways to create comfort, find stillness, overcome challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. When we feel most overwhelmed and stressed, we often find it difficult to prioritize what we value most. Our interests, our commitments, and the relationships most important to us often suffer when we are struggling. Therapy can offer us a space to reconnect with ourselves, and find a sense of peace and calm, allowing us to move closer to the people and areas of our lives we want. Therapy can help us enjoy life again the way we once used to.
Becoming a parent can be a landmine. What is often billed as simple, linear, and seamless can be filled with complicated emotions, experiences, and a sense of overwhelm. I work with people on all points of the birthing path- whether you are just thinking about having a child, trying to conceive, are pregnant or postpartum . This includes people struggling with infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and birth trauma, as well as partners and birth workers.
My ideal client is a person or couple that knows, no matter what they bring into a therapeutic space, they are valued, and they are the experts of their own lived experience. When we cross oceans together, you'll be the steering the ship, with me as your navigator. I understand the complex reality of intersectional identity that creates privilege or compounds to reinforce oppression and marginalization. My clients seek to live the best version of their lives and are willing to explore to do so.
