I am open to working with clients from all ethnic cultures and backgrounds. I've worked with children, young adults, adults, and families. As an Afro-Latina, I understand the importance of wanting a multicultural competent therapist. Many of my clients see me for help in areas such as self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, depression, and life transitions. I help my clients develop coping skills, gain clarity on the past, and become empowered to embrace their future.
I work with clients across their lifespan who may have anxiety, depression, or difficulty adjusting to a new life experience. I work with children and teens to help address self-esteem, social skills, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, or sensory processing challenges. The adults I work with might be experiencing a life-altering event, navigating their purpose in life, managing relationships, stress, dealing with a chronic illness, or struggling with parenthood.
I have extensive experience helping individuals who are processing trauma and life transitions. My clients are typically looking to integrate their past life, culture, values, and identity into their present and future life while learning to understand themselves and what works best for them. Individuals may be experiencing life transitions into parenthood, marriage, divorce, adulthood, pre/post college, a queer identity, or a new diagnosis or disability.
My specialized interests include working with young adults and adults who have a history of sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I hope to work with clients who are motivated to come to therapy and discuss the topics they feel are important. I work well with clients who have low self-esteem as I am extremely passionate about an empowerment approach with clients.

Being neurodivergent myself, I work with individuals between 18-50 years of age that are also a part of the neurodivergent community struggling with ADHD, ADD, ASD, and other learning disabilities. I work well with clients who are focusing on emerging adulthood, coming of age, and life transitions such as ending high school and college and beginning the workforce. Individuals struggling with anxiety around becoming an adult and gaining their independence will find healthy ways to cope with these changes, space to process the struggles they are facing, and will have the opportunity to work towards their goals that we discuss in sessions.

I have experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Their concerns and needs have included anxiety, communication, boundary-setting, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, and life transitions. The populations I best serve are children and young adults, ages 10 to 35. From my past work with children and teens, I connect well with that group. In my experiences at Humantold and Greenpoint Psychotherapy practices, I was able to connect with clients under 40 years old.
I am particularly dedicated to those who have been excluded from mainstream therapeutic spaces. My expertise is with queer and trans communities; sex workers, poly / ENM, kink / BDSM communities, neurodiverse and disabled communities; and substance users. My approach is informed by my shared identities and experiences with these communities. I work with survivors of Intimate Partner Violence; childhood and adult sexual violence; attachment and complex trauma; hate and institutional violence.
