I strive to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for clients who feel burdened with hard feelings. You may be navigating a period of anxiety or depression, struggling with a difficult phase of life, unsure of how to move beyond past experiences, or feeling badly about who you are as a person or loved one. We will create a collaborative and respectful partnership where we can work through these questions together, empowering you to find your path back to joy and calm in your life.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
Do you feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or ashamed? Perhaps you are struggling in your relationships, school, work, worried these feelings will spill over. Going with the flow, struggling to find meaning & joy. I'm here to help guide you through the process of understanding your feelings, identifying your needs, & creating a life that works for you. With a warm, compassionate approach, I strive to create an environment & therapeutic relationship that fosters growth, self-awareness, & lasting change.
Have you been looking for support in Maryland for therapy? Are you wondering what treatment might work best for you? Would you like to have someone who intimately understands the queer experience, being gender diverse, as you do your work? Especially during the pandemic, safe spaces can feel hard to find. My clients are open to experiential styles of therapy, including writing, meditating, drawing, and talking, of course. I hope I can be a provider of safe and meaningful work for you!

I work with adults and couples for perinatal mental health, identity exploration, and neurodiverse-affirming support in an LGBTQIA+ safe space. If you feel like you “have it all,” but you can’t shake this nagging feeling that something is missing, are overwhelmed managing your multiple roles (parent, spouse, partner, friend, co-worker), or feel like you’re struggling to navigate fertility as a queer person, get pregnant, be pregnant, or transition into parenthood, I can help.
I understand that everyone sometimes encounters obstacles in their lives that seem insurmountable. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment that allows each client to reach their full potential. I will work with you to address your symptoms and help you to rediscover your inner strengths to deal more effectively with your life's challenges and to guide you in the development of new life skills.
I work with individuals facing a variety of life's challenges. My primary focus has been in work with the trans/nonbinary community in exploring identity, validating experience, celebrating growth and navigating one's personal journey. I also have experience working with neurodiversity, recognizing and meeting client's needs. Many clients may need support with depression, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, OCD or other issues. Topics also include relationship issues, addiction challenges and work/life balance.

Being a mom is really freaking hard. It's exhausting and at times it's not even a little bit rewarding. The journey to becoming a mom isn't always easy. I work with people in the perinatal period: preconception, during pregnancy, and in the postpartum period. I also work to support people after abortion, no matter the reason. The clients I work with may be suffering from postpartum anxiety and/or depression, maybe have experienced traumatic births or losses, abortion, or or the baby blues.
I specialize in working with adults and teens in the LGBTQ+ community, but I am here to support you whether or not sexuality and/or gender are your primary reasons for seeking therapy. Together, we can work through a variety of experiences like anxiety, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem related issues, faith transitions, and navigating relationships with significant people in your life. I utilize a Jungian, psycho-analytic framework, alongside parts-based work, and a social justice lens.
You have checked all the boxes of what you think would bring health and happiness. Yet you live with constant anxiety, dread of something going wrong, and a sense that you aren't good enough. You care deeply and feel strongly, and that can make it hard to put work down, hard to ignore other people's negativity, hard to not take everything personally. You want to be more present for the moments of your life, and you've tried pretty much everything to no avail. You wonder if there is another way.
Many feel alone and overwhelmed when they are struggling with life challenges or mental health symptoms. I am here to provide support. Some people try to stuff the “bad feelings” deep down and pretend they are okay, while others shut out family and friends so they don’t hurt them or feel judged by them. It can be hard to have hope when you feel trapped in such a dark place without a light to see the way out.

I help my clients reconnect with themselves and what matters most to them. I help them align to their North Star and set a course towards personal growth...even in the most challenging times. I envision the work I do with people, families, and groups to be an expression of my commitment to positive social change in my community and across the state.
My clients are typically adults 18 years and older experiencing feelings of anxiety, stress, and insomnia. You might be someone who experiences shortness of breath, a racing heart, a racing mind, and sleep problems. I will work with you in a nonjudgmental way to help you gain control over your thoughts and feelings and give you insight into helping yourself during moments of panic or stress. I look forward to teaching you the tools to be successful in your everyday life.
