I'm passionate about ending mental health stigma, specifically within minority communities. Let's end the harmful ideas of "suck it up," "you don't have anything to be sad about," and "get over it ." Instead, let's start normalizing mental health and seeking therapy because we all struggle, and we can all do with a bit of kindness and support.
A little about me I am of mixed race, white and Hispanic. I identify primarily with my Hispanic side because that's the culture I was raised in but also recognize my white privilege. I was raised Catholic but do not practice or subscribe to any current denomination. However, I recognize the strong support that religion can be to some people. I am pro-choice.I feel It is important to listen, read and educate myself to be actively anti-racist.
