This path isn't just a career choice for me; it's a calling that stems from my professional dedication and personal experiences. My heart is deeply connected to the brave individuals in our community - our first responders and military. I also have unique life experiences with endometriosis, infertility, chronic illness, anger management, OCD, substance use, sobriety, relationship concerns, divorce, and ADHD.
I work with individuals ages 13 and up as well as couples. I specialize in trauma, addictions, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and stress/life issues. I use EMDR therapy for trauma as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and internal family systems with clients. I am passionate about empowering clients to help themselves with skills and guidance. I have a practice of 6 other counselors in both Missouri and Arizona who are able to take new clients and have different specialties.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

As a therapist with ADHD and autistic symptoms, I can help you identify and create systems that will give you the structure you need to thrive. I have had many struggles throughout my life being neurodivergent and have a unique perspective on how to reframe and work with our needs rather than against them.
If you’re ADHD, autistic, gifted, “twice exceptional,” or otherwise neurodivergent, you’ve got a specialized, high-performance brain. When you’re doing something you love, everything just works. It's the rest of life that's incredibly stressful. We experience higher rates of depression, anxiety, trauma, school refusal, substance abuse--you name it. But, it's not a deficit in you. It's minority stress. Let's work on changing your environment to fit your brain, not the other way around.
Welcome! I specialize in working with Gay Men and LGBTQ+ Adults. I also specialize in anxiety, worry and panic. Do you want to live happily, courageously and wholeheartedly? My passion is helping people live braver lives by showing up, being present and leaning into their joy. The goal is to help you develop self-compassion and become more resilient so life's challenges (which are inevitable) become easier to navigate. I aim to take you from surviving to thriving.
Many of my clients have experienced previous life experiences that were difficult and still cause problems in their everyday life. The clients I work with may seek to work through those experiences to reduce their symptoms or even make sense of those moments. Many of the children I work with are struggling with behaviors that are hard for adults to understand and parents who just want to help their children feel better.

It may feel like your relationship is in pieces with no clear path how to put it back together. You may feel like you can’t survive one more fight like the one you guys just had, or it might feel like you can’t suffer in silence anymore. Whether it feels like you are constantly fighting, or it feels like you are “room mates”, I can help. I strive to comprehend the distinct position each person find themselves. My commitment is to support and guide couples and families through these challenges.
Relationships never start off difficult. Most of the time we begin hopeful and excited. Because of our own expectations, experience, hurts and what some might call "baggage", things can get messy. Research tells us that most people wait 6 years to seek therapy from when their relationship begins being difficult, this can make navigating a way out very difficult because wounds have compounded. I am skilled at helping you sort that out and rebuild your relationship.
After 15 years working in some of the biggest agencies and outpatient clinics in Arizona, I know what works and what doesn't. Everyone is unique and there's no 'one size fits all' solution. Whether you strive for sobriety, aim to moderate, or use drugs or alcohol to cope with other struggles, I'm here to provide you with the help you deserve in a safe and supportive environment.
