My specialties include working with individuals struggling in their relationships, providing affirming and informed care to the LGBTQ+ communities with a focus on trans health, body image issues and chronic dieting, and grief and loss. I provide a safe therapeutic space that is compassionate, attuned, and collaborative. I see therapy as a place where we are curious together, where we seek reconnection with ourselves and others, and where we practice self-compassion as way through emotional pain.

I work with a variety of populations such as children 0-5, children, adolescents, and adults. Each client is coming into therapy for different needs. I tailor my therapeutic approach based on the individual and the age. Through working with me will figure out the root cause of your symptoms and different experiences that you are having. I create an open and safe place to help my clients through the struggles that they are facing.
At Newport Academy, we address the root causes of self-destructive behaviors, not just the symptoms. We guide teens and their families to achieve long-term, sustainable healing by treating the underlying issues—such as trauma, depression, and anxiety—that catalyze substance abuse, eating disorders, and other co-occurring disorders. Incorporating clinical, experiential, and holistic modalities, our gender-specific treatment is family-focused and results-oriented.
I support you by focusing on understanding your emotional experiences, relational patterns, & the impact of societal, familial, & cultural norms on your wellbeing. We'll work together to reshape your relationship with mental health, fostering resilience & enhancing communication skills to empower your true self. Safety is co-created and cultivated through collaborative consent & communication, fostering a secure attachment & co-creating a nurturing environment for growth and authenticity.

You might be feeling stuck due to becoming emotionally disconnected with your partner, having recently endured a break up or have one foot out of the door. You may be have experienced a traumatic event recently or as a child. You may be wrestling with performance anxiety and struggling to perform at your optimal level at work. You want to rediscover confidence, intimacy, purpose and joy. Let me join you in developing effective coping skills to manage life's daily challenges.
Are you finding yourself in the same place over and over again? Maybe it’s a string of bad relationships, keeping a job or difficulty in school. Maybe life has taken you through trauma, the pain and effects of which you are still experiencing today. I can help you find the path that will lead to success rather than repeated frustration and discouragement. If you are tired of the struggle and the pain of trauma I can help you find hope and healing.
Are you struggling to cope with life transitions? Many of us are experiencing significant anxiety due to changing work environments, parenting children who aren’t in school or attempting to navigate the changing social conditions. Are you feeling stressed by a traumatic event? Perhaps you are experiencing a divorce, have family conflicts or are alone as an empty nester. These circumstances can impact your connection with family, colleagues, and most importantly, the relationship with yourself.
I specialize in working with young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and/or family/relationship issues. I ask a lot of reflective questions to challenge my clients in sessions and encourage clients to leave sessions with a goal and intention for the week (tasks to complete, things to work on, or behaviors & thoughts to keep track of). I like working with motivated clients who can be honest and stay true to themselves in sessions and are ready for change.

All my clients come from very different ranges of needs. I specialize in clients who struggle with mental health and with substance abuse. A lot of clients have come back after completing treatment because they were so satisfied with the individualized treatment plan based on their needs.
My specialty is working with adult individuals and couples dealing with relationship issues rooted in trauma; mostly dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood trauma, domestic violence and sexual assault. I work with Black, Indigenous, People of Color. Clients that typically form a strong connection with me are other therapists, their partners, individuals in the LGBTQ community, immigrants and adult children of immigrants (25-50 y/o).
There is a reason why you are reading this today. You are stuck, or your life is in crisis. In my therapy practice, I don’t see people for emotional tune-ups. It just doesn’t happen that way. There are plenty of self-help books and mindfulness practices for that.
