Are you navigating a significant transition in your life and feeling stuck? Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed or lost, seeking guidance through life's twists and turns. I work with clients facing life transitions, LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety, and depression. While I support people throughout the lifespan, I’m particularly passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and emerging adults, as well as older adults, helping them manage unique challenges and find fulfillment at any stage of life.

If you're always racing around, chasing perfection, and juggling sky-high expectations, slowing down probably feels like a fantasy. The constant anxiety and pressure can be exhausting. And sure, stepping off the treadmill can seem scary, but slowing down doesn't mean you're falling behind. I’m here to help you find some calm in the chaos and guide you toward navigating life with more ease, balance, and maybe even a little breathing room.
Are you afraid that your proclivities towards kink or polyamory/ethical non-monogamy are due to trauma? I would almost certainly disagree. Are you afraid that if you see a therapist for your trauma they'll attribute your kinkiness or poly-ness to that trauma? I won't. Ever. Imagine a life without anxiety, inexplicable anger, deep sadness, or panic attacks. You're feeling like there must be a better way to live; I can help you find it.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

Have you been looking for support in Maryland for teletherapy? Would you like to have someone who intimately understands the queer experience, being gender diverse, as you do your work? I am open to supporting all kinds of folx, but have a sweetspot for working with LGTBTQIA+ folx. My clients are open to experimenting towards what works, thru talking, cooking, writing, meditating, drawing, dancing, whatever helps get you there! I hope I can be a provider of safe and meaningful work for you!
Some of my specialty areas include: LGBTQIA+, Perinatal mental health, Body image/fat liberation, and Consensual non-monogamy. I feel passionate about working with queer, transgender, and non-binary individuals who are on the path to parenthood. This includes those who may be carrying a child, thinking about conceiving, as well as non-birthing partners. Taking that step can feel scary and particularly polarizing in our binary filled world and I am here to hold and honor your space.
As a trained addictions counselor, I work with people who are experiencing emotional pain and want it to stop. We find that pain in a variety of ways and the suffering feels completely overwhelming. I get it. I overstand. Let's turn and face that something inside of that desperately wants to be healed.
People come to see me when they have trouble in their relationships. They feel anxious or as if they have to walk on eggshells around those they love out of fear of losing them. They push aside their needs for others, notice they are in "toxic" relationships though can't set boundaries, and feel burnt out from overworking and overhelping. Usually, when clients come to me, it isn't their "first rodeo." They are tired of re-hashing their past to a therapist who just nods.
