Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.

My practice has always been focused on the BGLTQ+ Community, especially trans & gender diverse people, and polyamorous people. I have specialized training working with the trans community for 20+ years, and am pleased with how much the mental health field has advanced in providing respectful care. I tend to see a lot of geeky and neurodivergent people. (Please note if contacting me: it will save time if you include your insurance company and whether HMO or PPO. Not currently seeing couples.)

I work with clients who have or have not yet been diagnosed with learning disabilities, mood disorders, anxiety, depression or just feeling like they haven't found their place yet. We work together to find support, learn about their feelings and explore new goals to create! My goal is to connect with you so I can fully understand what is going on in your world. I desire my clients to feel successful, proud and more knowledgeable.

I help adults who are overwhelmed, frustrated, or confused by panic, anxiety, stress, burnout, physical symptoms, and/or dissociation. Let's work on reconnecting with a deep sense of safety, well-being, and joy. I focus primarily on the LGBTQIA+ community and people that are healing from abuse, including those exploring gender, a/sexuality, relationship structures, disability, spirituality, neurodiversity, and otherwise celebrating our true selves!
