Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. I work with people who feel alienated, or like they don't belong. Addiction, substance use disorders, and trauma are special interests of mine. Since I’m a queer therapist with a mixed background, I also align well with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, or who are struggling with their cultural identities. As a result of therapy, my clients feel more connected to themselves, to their communities, and to the world around them.

I work well with clients who are focusing on emerging adulthood, coming of age, and life transitions such as ending high school and college and beginning the workforce. Individuals struggling with anxiety around becoming an adult and gaining their independence will find healthy ways to cope with these changes, space to process the struggles they are facing, and will have the opportunity to work towards their goals that we discuss in sessions.

Relationships form the foundations of our lives. The problem is we often take them for granted and the foundation starts to crack. Or maybe we're trying our best yet we keep pushing others away because we haven't healed ourselves yet. We get comfortable with what is and step back from what it takes to keep our bonds strong and thriving. I can help you if you find yourself asking: What if they don't really care about me? What if I can never make them happy? What if I'm not enough?
Online Therapy

Children today are facing more challenges than ever. The demands of school, friendships, social media, and life changes can take a toll on mental health. You might be seeing changes in your child or teen like irritability, worry, sadness, lack of motivation, and aggression. Parenting can be overwhelming and you are yearning for your child's success. Children and teens might be feeling misunderstood; trust could be broken, and the family dynamic could be shaken up.

My approach is informed by my shared identities and experiences with these communities. I work with survivors of Intimate Partner Violence; childhood and adult sexual violence; attachment and complex trauma; hate and institutional violence.
