A sexual problem, sometimes called a sexual dysfunction, is a problem during any phase of the sexual sexual act (such as desire, arousal or orgasm). Although many people experience trouble with sex at some point, it is a topic that many people are hesitant to discuss. There are a number of specific sexual disorders, including sexual desire disorders (low libido), sexual arousal disorders (inability to become aroused – erectile dysfunction or vaginal dryness, for example), orgasm disorders (delay or non-appearance of orgasms) and sexual pain disorders (painful intercourse, most commonly affecting women). A sexual problem can occur suddenly or develop slowly, over an extended period of time. The reasons for sexual problems can widely vary but may include factors such as fluctuating hormones, aging, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, diet, medications, illness or past sexual trauma. If you are dealing with sexual problems, a qualified professional therapist can help you identify the cause and help you develop ways to cope. I guide individuals through difficult transitions toward living without limiting beliefs, doubts, and insecurities. We often mistake our limiting beliefs as truths about ourselves. Once we learn to meet ourselves with love and kindness, we start to heal. I'm here to guide you through your obstacles to clarity and inner freedom. In our work together, I will help you to create balance, overcome suffering and find a deeper sense of meaning in your life.

As a health psychologist and EMDR therapist, I work with adults navigating life transitions, trauma, and health challenges. My practice includes academics managing career pressures, healthcare professionals seeking balance, and individuals exploring identity questions. If you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck, I offer a space where both immediate concerns and deeper patterns can be understood. We'll work toward meaningful change together.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

My clients are often people who feel out of step with mainstream life. Many of them practice ethical non-monogamy or identify as kinky. Some are gender fluid, or transitioning. About half see me individually while the others see me together with their partner(s). We focus on a wide variety of topics related to relationships, sex and intimacy, communication, and conflict resolution.
Online Therapy
I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and their families/partners. Together we have tackled depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQIA issues, romantic and interpersonal relationships, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
Online Therapy
The couples, partners, and individuals I work with have various presenting concerns and intersecting identities, but many of them are Latinx/Latina, polyamorous, kinky, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ and/or QTPOC. I am passionate about supporting folks who have experienced personal, systemic, sexual, and relational difficulties due to traumatic life events (including systemic oppression) with somatic modalities and techniques to help increase regulation, pleasure, intimacy, ease, and sexual wellness.
