Every relationship comes with its fair share of issues. Navigating the complexities of life together is hard enough, but when you start to feel regularly distressed or hopeless, about your relationship, it may be time to seek professional help. No matter what your issues seem to stem from (disagreements about money, sex, stress, chronic illness, mental illness, infidelity, trust, emotional distance, parenting etc.), if you and your partner are arguing more frequently and experiencing feelings of resentment or contempt, it is likely that there are some underlying problems to address. Because many problems in relationships are a result of communication issues, a qualified mental health therapist can teach you to find new ways of talking to each other to help you find your way back to common ground. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, and alone in dealing with a life crisis or transition. Many of us struggle deeply around completing our families – finding the right partner, having children. You may have delayed having children for your career; you may have unexplained infertility. You & your partner may be dealing with these experiences differently. Maybe you have experienced pregnancy loss or other traumatic events. Maybe you are struggling with being a new parent.

I do my best work with people 18 and older trying to improve the most important relationships there are--the ones with themselves and their romantic partners. This often looks like anxiety and depression individually, and feeling unable to communicate effectively in intimate relationships. I love using a mind/body/spirit approach to those open to it, always with the goal of helping people feel more confident, better able to set boundaries, and be more at peace in their own skin and homes.
