About My Clients

I specialize in working with Black women and women of color impacted by trauma. Clients I work with may find themselves feeling invalidated, isolated, or at a loss with how to move forward from difficult experiences. Maybe you're struggling to heal from deep rooted generational harm, or desire more skills to thrive in relationships, or cope with a recent transitions? If any of the above is resonating with you, we may be a good fit.

My Background and Approach

I use trauma and cognitive based approaches to address thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, that may be impacting your life in an undesirable manner. My approach also acknowledges the impact identity, oppressive systems, and generational trauma have on Black women and women of color, and the importance of identifying sustainable tools for coping.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Being raised in Portland where the Black community makes up less than 6% of the population, I'm more than familiar with the lack of resources for people of color. Due to this I am passionate about minimizing inequities, which is what originally drew me to the field of social work. This passion is also why I desire to increase access to anti-racist mental health spaces, where people can feel safe, validated, and supported.
