About My Clients
Are you having intrusive thoughts from your past while you are trying to focus on your work or school? Do you often have nightmares of what had happened to you in the past? The anxious feeling from within can be controlled and you do not need to dwell in your past trauma anymore. With every session that you attend, you will leave feeling heard and empowered.
My Background and Approach
I received my master's degree in professional counseling and my bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Oklahoma. I started my therapeutic career by helping people who had been sexually abused at a non-profit organization in Oklahoma. When I moved to Texas, I knew I wanted to continue the journey of helping people who have been traumatized. I believe in a two-way street therapeutic relationship. This simply means that therapy only works when you and I work together. My main role is to find inconsistencies in your life and magnify them using a different lens. We will then work together to find solutions and meaning to your struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that no one should feel alone in life, which is why I committed my life long career to being a counselor. As a minority and legal immigrant in America, I have learned to stand up for myself and be true to my beliefs. I enjoy spending my time in church and with my church family throughout the week. I also challenge myself to learn about other spiritual and religious beliefs from day to day. Since I grew up in a low-income family, I am able to empathize with anyone who struggles to get by every day. After working through my own traumatic past experiences through therapy, I know that there is hope available for anyone who is open to receiving help through therapy.
