About My Clients
I enjoy people, and as such enjoy working with a wide range of individuals. While I like the people I work with, the goal is for you to not be with me very long. My hope is that you will come in with the idea of working on yourself. I am a great person to talk to, and give you direction, but you are the one that will need to do the work. In doing so, I believe you will find a deeper understanding, love and acceptance of yourself.
My Background and Approach
I received my training at Argosy University and served at an agency in Big Lake for just over eight years before I decided to take a break. My expertise and passion are in guiding clients through periods of anxiety and grief. By the end of our sessions, you will possess fresh strategies for problem-solving, new insights into your own character, and the capacity to envision a hopeful future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all have our own stories to tell. Sometimes it can be hard to tell those stories. It's either too painful, we're worried what other may think, or we may think our stories are somehow wrong or not worth telling. Whether your story is filled with sadness, pain, fear, or loneliness you should be able to share your story and feel the validation of the uniqueness inherent in it. You should also be able to see the joy hiding inside the struggle. As a Rogerian Reality therapist, I can help you connect, or reconnect, with that hidden joy. I have helped individuals find their way through depression, anxiety, trauma and grief, all while honoring the truth of their stories. I believe that every individual should be accepted with unconditional positive regard. I believe that everyone should have the ability to spend their time on Earth feeling seen, heard and accepted for who they are. Most importantly, I believe everyone should be able to accept and love themselves.
