Every relationship comes with its fair share of issues. Navigating the complexities of life together is hard enough, but when you start to feel regularly distressed or hopeless, about your relationship, it may be time to seek professional help. No matter what your issues seem to stem from (disagreements about money, sex, stress, chronic illness, mental illness, infidelity, trust, emotional distance, parenting etc.), if you and your partner are arguing more frequently and experiencing feelings of resentment or contempt, it is likely that there are some underlying problems to address. Because many problems in relationships are a result of communication issues, a qualified mental health therapist can teach you to find new ways of talking to each other to help you find your way back to common ground. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s relationship and marriage issues experts today.
One of my primary focuses, but not limited to, is working with individuals who identify as BIPOC, first-generation, or LGBTQIA+. I understand that finding a therapist you feel comfortable with can be challenging, and I hope that my personal experiences and knowledge will help create a safe space for you.

Therapy can help you build the tools you need to thrive! I work with individuals, couples, and families to address a variety of concerns; including relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. I also specialize in helping teens and athletes overcome performance anxiety and develop strategies for success, both on and off the field. Together, we can focus on building coping skills, improving communication, and finding clarity in the areas of your life that feel uncertain.

My clients are very hard working, have a long track record of success, and care deeply about their work, friends, and family. Even so, life can be challenging. Many of my clients had a bad day and are still emotionally beating themselves up for minor mistakes. They constantly replay what they should have done differently sometimes for days and weeks at a time. They become frustrated they cannot let go of this self-criticalness and even have thoughts they are not good enough or are a fraud.

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Although working with various populations requires differing approaches, I see many of the same presenting issues whether I'm working with individuals or with relationships: communication issues, betrayal, trauma (intergenerational, sexual, emotional, psychological, and physical), anxiety, depression, and unhealthy ways of coping. It is important that my clients collaborate with me in finding the best solutions in their therapeutic process.

I enjoy working with clients from various backgrounds and age ranges! I enjoy cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, expressive art approaches, and mindfulness. Initially, I will schedule a 15-minute consultation with potential clients. I am interested in hearing about a client’s previous experience or inexperience working with a therapist. I will explain my process of therapy to potential clients, which is holistic with multifaceted, evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
