I work closely with individuals who have experienced trauma and live with PTSD. I also enjoy supporting people living with addiction, depression, and anxiety. By utilizing evidence-based practices such as EMDR, CBT, and others, healing is possible. I am a strong diagnostician and have often helped people find clarity and a diagnosis after years of feeling lost or not making progress. Let's get you unstuck and feeling better!
Many of my clients begin therapy saying they've always felt like they didn't belong. They've never really been understood. They've been cast aside or have done a lot of pretending to fit a mold to fit in. Most people inherently want—need, really—to belong. When we feel we don’t, we come up with all kinds of strategies to meet that need, or numb the pain of going without. Sometimes these strategies stop working or get in the way of our being ideal selves. This is where therapy can be beneficial.
I work with couples who are successful in many areas of their lives (career, parenting, friendship). But somehow, their intimate relationship is falling apart. Despite being insightful and empathic, my couples find themselves having out of control fights where they swear, yell, name-call, and act in ways that feel totally out of sync with their values. They have read self-help books and maybe even tried couples counseling before, but nothing seems to stop the messy, toxic conflict.
You've been thinking about making a change for a while, but you haven't actually been doing anything about it. It's hard for you to put yourself first or even ask for help. You're usually the the go-to person for your family, friends, or coworkers so prioritizing your own mental health almost feels selfish. Your inner critic's voice is so loud that you know something needs to change. You usually feel like you're never doing enough, but you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

Are you finding yourself overwhelmed most days? Do you tend to put others needs before your own? Maybe you feel the weight of the negative self-talk getting louder and harder to manage. That inner voice can really put you down and leave you in a state of constant stress. Speaking from experience, the internal battle can feel quite isolating. If this resonates, my hope is to guide you through the messy world of emotions and help give you an experience of what it means to hold yourself in love.
