About My Clients
I am drawn to those who are in transition or processing a loss of some sort; of romantic relationships, careers, loss of family members, or grieving parenting they didn't receive. I love to work with people who are struggling with issues of self esteem, shame, and anxiety. I find it very rewarding to help individuals to develop a stronger relationship with themselves using self compassion and acceptance and then to help individuals empower themselves to make wanted changes.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative, caring and interactive. I believe healing happens in relationship so I strive to build a safe environment where you can be seen and heard. Together we will work on whatever you bring into the room. I love to work with individuals to challenge them to love and accept all the parts of themselves in order to make changes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it takes a lot of courage to look inward and to begin (or restart) the journey of therapy. I believe there is still a lot of stigma around entering therapy, but have found it to be rich and rewarding both in the work I have done with others, and in my own healing journey. People participate in therapy for many varied reasons. I believe that some of the most courageous and brave souls seek out therapy to get to know themselves and others better.
