Javan Jean-NoelClinical Psychologist, Psy.D., CMPC
Hello! I am a first-generation Haitian-American who have been practicing in the clinical and sport psychology fields since 2016.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. I have the privilege of working with a diverse clientele facing a wide range of challenges. Primarily, I provide support to women dealing with depression, anxiety, motherhood and infertility, balancing the responsibilities of family and career, relationship and parenting issues, and the aftermath of narcissistic abuse. I also specialize in helping individuals struggling with addiction and alcohol abuse.
At this time (due to COVID-19), my services are via Telehealth (video or phone session) only. I help clients identify and create a path out of their current circumstances and/or help them deal with any current stressor, change or challenge that has arisen in their life. I help clients find clarity, meaning and purpose through life's challenges. My strength is helping individuals learn skills and strategies to cope with the varied life stressors, changes, blindsides, challenges and losses.
