Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a traumatic, scary or dangerous event. PTSD can be caused by either witnessing or experiencing the trauma. Events that sometimes trigger PTSD include everything from sexual assault, war, and violence, to car accidents or other incidents that could cause loss of life. It is not at all uncommon for people who go through something traumatic to have temporary difficulty coping and acute symptoms, but with time, they usually get better. However, if the symptoms last longer than a month, get worse rather than better and affect your ability to function, you may be suffering from PTSD. Symptoms of PTSD may include severe anxiety, anger, nightmares, trouble sleeping, flashbacks to the event, frightening thoughts, avoidance of situations or places, feeling on edge and/or being easily startled. If you think you may be experiencing PTSD, reach out to one of TherapyDen’s specialists today to get help.

Are you tired of a life disconnected from your authentic self and deepest desires? Do you find yourself burdened by overpowering emotions? Do inexplicable physical discomforts trouble you? My clients often identify as perfectionists, grappling with anxiety, depression, or loneliness. Yet, they possess a remarkable creative spark. Whether overachievers or prone to procrastination, their common trait is empathy, yet capacity to feel deeply sometimes leads to shame.
I specialize in individual and couples/relationship therapy for adults, addressing concerns such as anxiety, stress, eating/body image, trauma, relationship issues, identity development/exploration, and life transitions. Our identities, lived experiences, and environment are crucial to understanding who we are. My aim is to empower you, encouraging you to embrace authenticity and be your truest self. I'll meet you where you are and offer supportive challenges as we work towards your goals.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

It's my opinion (and research supports this) that building supportive spaces where individuals can explore their authentic selves and change unhelpful patterns is the most effective way to do therapy. I support the well-being of adults and adolescents experiencing overwhelming emotions, challenging histories, and complex mental health problems. All too often we trade expressing our genuine selves for safety, which can lead to blame, resentment, anxiety, and inexplicable grief.
If you're having issues with anxiety, depression, sleep, past trauma, grief/loss, or substance use, we might be a great fit! There are many tools available to help you, including holistic and neuro-informed approaches backed in science. Whether you are interested in targeted, focused work on specific symptoms, or addressing more comprehensive concerns, I will help you by outlining a personalized pathway for healing centered around your unique needs.

My sessions are a space for clients to safely explore their feelings, learn new ways to cope with stress, feel validated and supported, and improve their relationships. My clients are people facing challenges like anxiety, depression, difficulty managing their feelings, life transitions, and codependency. I also work with individuals in recovery and those questioning their relationship with alcohol, drugs, or other self-sabotaging behaviors.
