As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) myself, I specialize in working with other HSPs. As a member of the queer community, it has been important and fulfilling to me to support LGBTQ+ clients throughout my career. I am in training to become a Certified Body Trust Provider, meaning I help clients work on their relationship with food and themselves from a weight-inclusive, health-at-every-size stance. Additional areas of focus include anxiety, grief, stress management, self-care, and relationships.
Most folks begin therapy with me because they feel stuck in unhelpful patterns of communicating, they struggle to feel understood or supported in their relationship, and they want to navigate conflict and challenging emotions with greater ease. I support queer, gender expansive, neurodiverse, and polyamorous and non-monogamous couples, polycules and other relationship structures. I also specialize in working with stepparents and parents who are navigating a non-traditional family structure.
I help individuals, couples, relationship partners, and adult family members build more confidence and trust in themselves and with others. Clients often begin treatment longing for more connection with themselves, and more effectiveness in their relationships. They may have experienced a chaotic upbringing or relationship traumas in the past, and are frustrated with their history continuing to impact their present. We work toward building increased freedom, meaning, and joy in their lives.
Some of my clients are working toward feeling more connected in their relationships. Some are working to heal from traumas of the past. Most are looking for an expert therapist, who having tried multiple therapists, need a more comprehensive, philosophically grounded, deeper, and richer experience of self-exploration and healing. My goal is for my clients to experience a connection they may have never felt that helps them build insight, understanding, and the courage and power to heal and grow.
I provide psychotherapy to adults with anxiety, interpersonal issues, and stress related to work, academics, and life transitions. I am also a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist and have 20 years of experience working with clients during pregnancy/postpartum and providing therapeutic support around managing parenting-related mental health concerns and stressors from infancy to empty nest.

You need therapy that will teach you concrete skills to help improve your life right now, not aimless therapy that only makes you feel better for the day. My typical clients are professionals who have come to realize that negative thoughts are keeping them from achieving their full potential at work and/or in their personal lives. Many of my current clients had tried therapy prior to seeing me and did not find it helpful as they did not get concrete skills to deal with distress.
I help clients navigate issues related to mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma and PTSD, and other major life stressors. I use an anti-oppressive lens and pay close attention to the way cultural and institutional factors impact your health. I believe that therapy is one part of a process toward connection and a sense of belonging with others.
