Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. I typically work with children, teens, adults and families. I work with children and teens on issues such as anxiety, stress management, navigating family roles, identity and relationship concerns. I work with adults on employment/career concerns, relational difficulties, family of origin issues, complex trauma, anxiety and panic attacks. I work with my client's to help them increase their self-confidence, navigate stressful life events and build healthy, supportive relationships with others.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I work with primarily young adults and adults, and have found that many clients appreciate the humor and overall "realness" I bring into sessions. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, interpersonal relationship issues, family conflict, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and more.
