About My Clients
Are you a supportive parent looking for outside support for your child or teen? Do you wish that family life felt more peaceful? Is your teen starting to struggle with anxiety or depression? I am a licensed child and family psychologist with over 10 years of experience with children, teens, and families. My practice, Panorama Psychology, is a team of specialists who use proven techniques to support children, teens, and adults. We provide both therapy and psychological/educational evaluations.
My Background and Approach
In my therapy work with both individuals and families, I use a pragmatic and relational approach. This means focusing on actionable changes while also understanding the complexity of family relationships. Depending on your goals, we may explore clear-cut behavior changes or generational family patterns. This flexible approach is applicable to a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, family conflict, behavior concerns, parenting/co-parenting, trauma, and teen issues like sexuality and substance use. I use techniques from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. Our psychological evaluations are done to the same high standard as our therapy work. Our team of assessment psychologists specialize in giving individuals and families an individualized "roadmap" based on the strengths, weaknesses, and diagnoses identified through evidence-based testing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Simply put, I believe relationships are the most important part of life. From the moment we enter this world, we learn from our most significant relationships—our parents. Those fortunate enough to feel safe and secure with their parents often find it easier to build healthy romantic relationships and eventually nurture their own children. Others face a harder path due to trauma, loss, family stress, or physical or emotional distance. I see my work as both generational and preventative. By helping families cultivate healthy emotional patterns, we can transform a family’s trajectory for generations to come. My approach is never about blame but about understanding why certain emotional and behavioral patterns exist and helping clients bring skilled thoughtfulness to their relationships, knowing that when we are on our way out of this world the relationships are the only things that will matter.
