Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults through Enhanced and Outpatient Services. I specialize in: Diagnostic Assessment, Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, Substance Abuse Assessment, Child Mental Health, Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Mental Health, Child Developmental Disabilities, Adolescent Developmental Disabilities, Adult Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse Counseling, Military Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling and Educational Counseling.
My clients are often asking themselves: Will it ever get better? What's wrong with me? Who am I? Is what happened to me violence? Will I ever make peace with my body? Why did my family keep this secret? Why can't I get over 'it'? They might be recovering from intimate partner violence, narcissistic abuse, disordered eating, emotionally immature parents, leaving high demand groups, DNA discoveries, adoption search/reunion, childhood trauma, perfectionism and shame. You don't have to do it alone.
