About My Clients
I work mostly with individuals in their 20s & 30s that need help navigating anxiety, stressful life events & transitions. These years can be filled with new stressors as well as things from the past that we may have a hard time shaking. I also specialize in trauma as well as grief & loss for all ages. This might include the loss of a loved one, a pet, or even the loss of a relationship. You don't have to go through this process alone.
My Background and Approach
I know from personal experience how tough it can be to work through past issues. Often times, it can feel like our past is in the present. Whether it’s grief, anxiety, or trauma, I would be honored to help you through this process. In sessions, I'll encourage you to show up as your complete self (cussing welcomed!). We can also utilize EMDR to expedite the healing process - even if you felt "stuck" in therapy previously. Most note feeling better even after the first few sessions. I offer intensive EMDR therapy as well as an alternative to weekly sessions. This can allow for expedited healing without the commitment of the traditional therapy model. Utilizing EMDR can help clients heal from past traumas, decrease many types of anxieties, increase self-esteem, reduce grief symptoms and overcome limiting beliefs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Some things that I know for sure are that life is imperfect, people are extremely resilient, and no one should go through tough times alone. I’ve learned this in my own life experience as well as my work with others. As a therapist – and as a person, I utilize compassion, humor, and a non-judgmental approach. I work with and advocate for folx from all racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexualities, and gender identities. I believe people should have the choice to do what they feel is best for their body and their life :). My mission is to empower my clients and begin to change patterns that aren't working for them to allow for a healthy and happy life.
