As a young professional you may experience so many pressures coming from many directions. Pressures from a new career, or from your close relationships or maybe even pressures from your own family. But now you're realizing that these pressures are affecting you in a deep way. You notice that your health is also being affected. You are experiencing problems with high anxiety, depressed mood, irritability or even sleep. And you 're also noticing that your passion for life is dwindling.
My work focuses on helping my individual, couple, and family clients generate understanding and big-picture perspectives while encouraging each person to live congruently with their true self. I specialize in helping teens and their families. Adolescence can be a turbulent time where young individuals struggle to balance their need for support with their desire to be independent. I also work with anyone wanting to reprocess of traumatic events via EMDR.
I specialize in working with clients in stigmatized and under-represented relationships: queer folks, consensual non-monogamy, kink, long distance, poly. Though I use a wide range of techniques, my main approach is somatic internal family systems therapy. Somatic IFS helps us uncover the ways different complex parts of you interact to protect you and shape your experience.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I have a particular passion for working with survivors of childhood abuse, domestic, and sexual violence. I am also well versed in and absolutely love working with the LGBTQIA, BIPOC, and Kink/Poly communities. What I love about working with survivors is fiercely holding hope while delicately encouraging the sparks of change at a time that can be so dark.
