About My Clients

Do you find yourself striving for perfection, yet feeling a deep sense of loneliness beneath your achievements? If early experiences have led you to wear this perfectionist mask, you might be struggling with self-criticism and a disconnect from those around you. I offer a compassionate space where we can explore these feelings together. By understanding the roots of your perfectionism, we can work toward healing, helping you cultivate a more authentic relationship with yourself and others.

My Background and Approach

In our sessions, I prioritize healing the relationship you have with yourself, as this is the foundation for transforming your connections with others. Many of us lack the tools to engage with all aspects of ourselves and to harness our emotions as guides through life. My role is to help you listen deeply to your inner self and cultivate self-compassion. My practice is grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology, with a strong emphasis on attachment theory. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. Additionally, I actively participate in a weekly consultation group dedicated to integrating psychodynamic theory into my therapeutic approach, ensuring that my practice remains dynamic and informed.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In our work together, I strive to build a collaborative relationship grounded in trust and openness. I believe that healing is both an individual and a collective journey, shaped by our shared experiences and the social contexts we navigate. I actively participate in my own therapy, which helps me appreciate the importance of self-reflection and personal growth in supporting my clients. I've faced my own setbacks, and I understand what it means to seek help. This firsthand experience informs my approach and allows me to connect with you on a deeper level. While trauma can stem from family dynamics and individual events, it’s vital to acknowledge the broader context of systemic oppression that affects some people while privileging others. I am dedicated to fostering an anti-racist, anti-homophobic environment that is inclusive of all faiths, genders, and body sizes. My goal to create a safe and supportive space where everyone feels honored and empowered.
