Grief and loss are a part of the human condition. Grief is typically considered to be brought on by the death of a loved one, but can also be triggered by any significant life-altering loss (such as a divorce or the loss of a job). Grief is a natural response to loss, but that doesn’t make it easy to deal with. Symptoms of grief may include sadness, loneliness, anger, denial, depression and a myriad of other thoughts and feelings. There is no “normal” amount of time for grief to pass, but if you find that your grief is not improving over time or that it is interfering with your everyday life, you may want to consider seeking professional help. A qualified grief counselor can help you to cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s grief experts today.

Whether you are navigating feelings of shame or low self-worth, difficulty in your relationships, symptoms of anxiety or depression, or are working through the impacts of stress, abuse, grief, or trauma - you don't have to do it alone. I work best with clients who are naturally self-reflective and existential thinkers, looking for new ways to experience their life and relationships.

I love working with individuals, couples, and adult families who are looking to grow and heal in ways that emphasize their unique human experience and authenticity. This might look like someone who is trying to forge their own path after being stuck in negative patterns such as codependency or perfectionism. It may look like a couple who wants to deepen their emotional or sexual intimacy. I love helping clients discover who they truly are--either as an individual or in relationship to others!

We all have an inner critical voice that can overwhelm our experiences and sabotage our relationship with ourselves and others. My clients learn to identify and relate differently to this inner voice, creating a shift in how they treat themselves. They are then able to engage in a process of investigating different parts of themselves and lead their lives with more inner freedom, self compassion, and open heartedness.

My clients all have different backgrounds and goals but they found me because they wanted a therapist who would challenge them. Areas of interest and experience for me include, but are not limited to trauma stemming from: abuse, family of origin, relationships with people who have personality disorder, and grief (particularly after suicide loss); addiction, depression, anxiety, and spiritual growth.
I work with individuals looking to navigate life transitions and challenges as their authentic and genuine selves. Individuals looking for a deeper understanding of their relationships: romantic, family, friendship, roommate, and more. Clients who want to cultivate healthy dependence in their closest relationships. Parents ready to learn how their family’s generational parenting patterns inform their relationship with themselves and their kids and develop new, effective parenting methods.
My ideal client would be someone who is willing to give therapy a chance. To explore various aspects of their life, who they are, and who they are wanting to become. My idea caseload would consist of a variety of issues, so as long as the client is wanting to be an active agent in their therapy then they would be my ideal. Their goals would consist of wanting to feel congruent with with their beliefs and how they are living their life.
I help people who are struggling to develop a strong sense of self worth. I often work with people exploring identity and self esteem Who are experiencing symptoms like high anxiety, depression, difficulty coping with stress, and intrusive negative thoughts. Some therapists focus only on the symptoms which can feel incomplete. I listen deeply to hear what’s going on underneath. I help you process the old stories and beliefs held deep within that are cutting you off from your true self.
Building relationships, changing your experience of yourself and others, providing more flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges in life. Relationship challenges, anxiety ranging from social anxiety to PTSD, depression, trauma, and struggles to find a place in life. As my clients move forward in their work, many of them will choose to do group therapy, because of it's ability to bring out, and make changes in, deep and pervasive ways of relating to oneself and others.

I have a particular passion for working with survivors of childhood abuse, domestic, and sexual violence. I am also well versed in and absolutely love working with the LGBTQIA, BIPOC, and Kink/Poly communities. What I love about working with survivors is fiercely holding hope while delicately encouraging the sparks of change at a time that can be so dark.

My passion is marriage counseling. Additionally, I have experience with individuals who struggle with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, life changes, coping skills, and LGBTQ community. My purpose is to meet my client’s needs and goals by tracking their progress throughout our treatment plan and adjust as needed.
I seek to walk with the clients I work with and create an environment that empowers them to not only cope with today but develop deep and sustainable change that will influence their lives as well as the lives of others in their communities. This background also prompts me to consider how structural inequities impact physical and mental health and how therapy can be one of many tools toward healing from historical and contemporary social issues.

My professional history involves working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Recognizing the impact of traumatic events on one’s mental and emotional well-being, I employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients heal and regain a sense of control over their lives. Through a trauma-informed lens, I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and work toward post-traumatic growth.
