Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a classic talk therapy technique that helps increase awareness of negative thinking in order to better handle challenging situations. In addition to helping those with mental health disorders (such as anxiety or depression), CBT is also helpful for anyone who is looking to learn how to manage stressful situations. Therapists that use CBT often have a structured program, which involves a set number of sessions. CBT is frequently paired with other treatments, such as medication, when necessary. Think this approach may be right for you? Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s CBT experts today.
I am experienced in supporting those who experience mild or chronic symptoms of schizophrenia/psychosis, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, violence/aggression, and other severe mental health symptoms and diagnoses. We often keep reproductive health experiences to ourselves or are responded to in unhelpful ways by those we confide in... which leads us to suffer in silence. But it doesn't have to be that way. Evidence-based tools, skills and a cultivated community of support can make all the difference!! I can help you learn to thrive through infertility, pregnancy after infertility, the postpartum period and up through the toddler years.

Often, we feel lonely and disconnected from our friends, family, and life in general. It may feel like you are outside looking in and don't know how to break through. We can feel disconnected for various reasons, including past trauma or fear of trusting others. Therapy can help by providing a safe and supportive space to explore your feelings, process trauma, and develop healthy coping mechanisms, which will help you learn how to set boundaries and build meaningful, connected relationships.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

Many of my clients tend to be queer, young adults who have experienced childhood trauma and are prepared to begin the healing journey, or perhaps pickup where they may have previously left off. I also work with queer folks who have had negative, abusive, or toxic experiences within church/religion because of their gender or sexuality. This is certainly not an exclusive list but meant to provide insight into where my passion and expertise lie.

My clients are courageous and come to group therapy! Group therapy is available for neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, or AuDHD; teens and adults) and Healing from Toxic Relationships (groups and online independent workshops available). They also listen to my podcast and listen to my books to learn about domestic violence, and support nonprofits through my cute merch! Most of my clients are neurodivergent, like me! And many are LGBTQ+, like me! And many are BIPOC with various cultural experiences :)

Are you LGBTQIA+, large-bodied, or living with chronic illness and dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD? Are you a therapist dealing with burnout or mental/physical illness? For marginalized folx, the intersection of identity, oppression, and health issues are complex. For therapists, you're likely feeling stretched and burned out under the combined weight of life and work. Others assume we have it handled and we feel we should too. If anything above resonates, I will intimately get it.

I work to help those with marginalized identities (sexually & gender queer, BIPOC, trans) to heal chronic struggles with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I use my passion for depth work, mindfulness, and self-compassion to build space in which you can know yourself more fully and live more authentically. I help to cultivate more safety and joy in your relationships with others, and with yourself. I make space for you to face the parts of you that are hardest to feel.

As a woman with ADHD, do you feel that your ADHD is impacting your relationships, self-esteem, goals and work? Do you find yourself saying sentences like, ‘I should…, ‘Why can’t I just…’, or ‘If I wasn’t so lazy…’? What if you could find strategies that could help you manage the things that feel like they always are falling through the cracks? Women with ADHD often experience ADHD differently than the stereotypical symptoms. What if you could find validation and understanding of your experience?

Did you grow up in a controlling, high-demand religious environment? The adverse experiences in this type of setting can lead to feeling like you don't know who you are or what you believe. You may feel torn apart, like there are multiple versions of you in different settings. This can affect the way you treat romantic partners, coworkers, and authority figures. You may also feel conflicted about your identity, your sexuality, and even your body.

If you're a BIPOC and/or queer person who's feeling lonely, depressed, and lost and confused about who you are. I want you to know that there is hope for you, you are not alone and together we can make helpful changes and work towards your best self.

My clients are ready for change. They value personal growth, self-improvement, and not afraid to work for what they want. My clients want to live up to their full potential and be the best version of themselves. Some of my clients know something needs to change but don't know exactly what and really don't know how to change. I can help. I partner with you and help you identify what you want to change, create a plan of action, and then give you the tools to get there.

I work with clients who are tired of knowing how to help other people, but feel absolutely powerless when it comes to helping themselves. They give out advice that changes other peoples lives and then do the exact opposite of what they tell others to do. They are well aware that they need to "just do it", but they just don't know how to do it themselves. My clients are extremely critical of themselves, afraid of making mistakes, and feel like gigantic frauds that are about to be found out.
