About My Clients
If you're someone who's feeling lonely, depressed, and lost and confused about who you are. You may be at a crossroads of knowing some or all of your identities but unsure how they all fit. I get it, and my therapy is centered around you and your lived experience. I want you to know that there is hope for you, you are not alone and together we can make helpful changes and work towards your best self. The highest compliment a client can give me is "you get me"
My Background and Approach
I am an experienced gay and poly Korean American counselor and sex therapist who specializes in understanding and helping you. I have years of experience working with LGBTQIA+ issues and an advocate for racial equity and social justice. I help my clients through teaching them to understand themselves through a compassion focused and nonjudgemental lens. This resolves the negative self-talk and criticism that may be externally and/or internally created and allows them to feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every client has the right to choose what works best for them. They are the experts of their own lives and I do everything I can to support them to make the best, informed, and most compassionate decisions for themselves. I am highly aware of the different traumas from physical abuse to religious and developmental traumas many in the community have experienced. I am active member of the gay community, a proud ally of the trans community, and I believe Black Lives Matter.
