About My Clients
If you're a BIPOC and/or queer person who's feeling lonely, depressed, and lost and confused about who you are. You may be at a crossroads of knowing some or all of your identities but unsure how they all fit. I get it, and my therapy is centered around you and your lived experience. I want you to know that there is hope for you, you are not alone and together we can make helpful changes and work towards your best self.
My Background and Approach
I am an experienced gay and poly Korean American counselor who specializes in understanding and helping you. I have years of experience working with LGBTQIA+ issues and an advocate for racial equity and social justice. I help my clients through teaching them to understand themselves through a compassion focused and nonjudgemental lens. This resolves the negative self-talk and criticism that may be externally and/or internally created and allows them to feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every client has the right to choose what works best for them. They are the experts of their own lives and I do everything I can to support them to make the best, informed, and most compassionate decisions for themselves. I am highly aware of the different traumas from physical abuse to religious and developmental traumas many in the community have experienced. I am active member of the gay community, a proud ally of the trans community, and I believe Black Lives Matter.
