About My Clients
My ideal client would be someone who may struggle with anxiety and depression related issues, but wants to truly heal and gain insight about themselves. They may want to increase their healthy coping skills, improve their relationships and improve their quality of life. They would be receptive to feedback and also be willing to give their honest perspective on their life and their experience of therapy.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies and my Masters degree in Clinical Social Work. I have experience working with all ages in various settings, to include working at a partial hospitalization program at an eating disorder recovery center, an alternative school and a group therapy practice. I now work with adults ages 18 and up to help them manage their symptoms of anxiety and/or depression at my private practice. My approach to therapy is to get to know the person on a deeper level, to help them gain insight and self awareness about themselves and their problems, and then to address harmful thoughts and behaviors that get in their way of living a fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal values include honesty, integrity, beneficence and social justice. I am passionate about helping others to see themselves as valuable human beings, capable of handling life's struggles and persevering. I enjoy binge watching TV shows, walking, being in nature, art, going to the beach, trying new restaurants and going on adventures to explore new places!
