My specialty is working with adult individuals and couples dealing with relationship issues rooted in trauma; mostly dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood trauma, domestic violence and sexual assault. I work with Black, Indigenous, People of Color. Clients that typically form a strong connection with me are other therapists, their partners, individuals in the LGBTQ community, immigrants and adult children of immigrants (25-50 y/o).
I work best with adolescents and adults who are seeking a compassionate and genuine therapy relationship to understand themselves, regain or build personal strength, and make choices to have the life they want. Growth takes place within this curious and supportive relationship, often by developing a deeper sense of the themes or patterns in their life, learning what is unchangeable, knowing how you understand yourself and your worth, and changing beliefs you have that interfere with your life.

While I work with a wide range of folks, I tend to be the person folks come to when other therapies haven't worked. Relational Somatic Psychotherapy is a deep and powerful therapeutic approach. It works at a very deep and primal level. We combine neuro-biologically informed treatment with mindfulness, movement, traditional talk therapy, drama therapy and more, all in the container of our relationship.
The challenges my clients face span a wide spectrum, encompassing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, coping with traumatic events, managing OCD, and navigating the complex terrain of grief. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive space where individuals from all backgrounds can find understanding, healing, and personal growth. Whatever your journey may involve, I am here to help you navigate and overcome the obstacles on your path to well-being.
In essence, an ideal client for couples therapy is a couple that, despite the challenges and conflicts they face, are united in their effort to seek understanding, healing, and growth. They are ready to embark on a journey of transformation, equipped with respect for each other, commitment to the process, and a willingness to evolve both individually and collectively for the enrichment of their relationship.
I help individuals in their 20s and 30s who feel lost, stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed. They feel like they have what constitutes a good life, but they are confused about why they are unhappy and feel unfulfilled. I help clients uncover all the ways they are being held back from being happier and more successful in their careers and life. Through my practice, I help people find direction, purpose, strength, happiness, and more in control of their life.

You've tried talk therapy in the past but are still troubled by disturbing past events. You're ready for relief and to move forward with your life but feel held back by distressing memories. Mind-body practices can often work more quickly than talk therapy alone. Healing and recovery from painful memories and negative beliefs is possible - and I want to show you how. I look forward to guiding you through the process of clearing out and releasing the charge of these experiences.
I see many people who are overwhelmed with their day-to-day life, and often because of this, their important relationships have begun to slip away from them. They long for close, grounded relationships that enable them to experience more of the best parts of life.
Are you struggling with feeling inferior; feeling superior; needing to be perfect; feeling you're a burden; or people pleasing? When we grow up in difficult circumstances, we come up with these beliefs/ways of being as a way to help us feel a little more safe. As difficult as it is to hold these beliefs about ourselves, they somehow help us feel better. As we grow up, they create difficulties in our adult relationships.
I have a particular interest in working with clients experiencing life transitions in their career and interpersonal relationships. My own background includes working with highly creative individuals, and I encourage clients to bring their creative work into the therapeutic process.
I have experience helping adults, adolescents and couples who are coping with anxiety, depression, illness, loss, life transitions including gender and sexual identity, substance abuse, relationship concerns including non-monogamy, negative body image, menopause, and the particular challenges faced by those working in the creative fields.

People seek therapy for so many reasons, but mostly we all want to feel loved, safe & understood. We want to feel a sense purpose & feel good enough as we are & yet so many of us struggle to feel these ways. Sometimes our lives look very different than we imagined & we need help making sense out of things. We might be feeling disconnected or numb, uncertain or alone. We might be questioning who we are or the direction we are heading & need to find some clarity, perspective or hope.
Sexuality & pleasure are stigmatized, this plays into how we feel about ourselves, our bodies. I specialize in sex, intimacy and relationship issues specifically undoing harmful stories which no longer work for us, which hold us back, harm us. I work to re-educate, and then to empower. I work with clients to signifcantly reduce distress and undo longer standing concerns. Find your truth and build on that!
