I help highly sensitive teens and young adults get comfortable in their feelings, build self-acceptance, and regulate their emotions. My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed therapist with five years of experience working with highly sensitive, anxious, and depressed clients. I help those who feel deeply, have been wounded in past relationships, or who need a restart in how they relate to themselves and others. The foundation of my approach is a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, heard, and understood - without judgment. While my work is client-centered, I integrate CBT, ACT, and Somatic Experiencing. If clients are interested, I also incorporate education about mindfulness, and can join clients in practicing these skills together. I support clients in finding their purpose, which may include exploring spirituality or a higher power. Clients are the experts in their own lives, and I bring my experience to help guide and support them. Together, we collaborate to build a path that feels authentic and fulfilling, to create meaningful change.
Why I Became a Therapist
I became a therapist because I experienced a lot of anxiety growing up, but at the time, mental health wasn’t something people talked about. My stomach would hurt, my worries felt irrational, and while my loved ones meant well, they didn’t know how to help. As I got older, my anxiety showed up in different ways—irritability, headaches, and a deep disconnection from my emotions. I even went years without crying, believing it was just part of who I was, when in reality, I had lost touch with myself. My journey of learning about mental health and healing my own wounds has been life-changing. Now, I’m passionate about helping others feel understood and validated, using creativity, curiosity, and compassion to support them in discovering what works for them and their lives.
