I work with couples, adults, and teens who are LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC folks. Some themes I love working with include grief, relationships, life transitions, boundaries, anxiety, and depression. Integration of altered states of consciousness, exploration of intersectional identities and intergenerational trauma are also common themes in my practice. I have a passion for helping folks get in touch with their inner knowing & becoming their fullest and most authentic selves.

I am passionate about working with young adults, adolescents, and parents/families of adolescents through the complexities of life, relationships, and identity exploration. If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, the impact of trauma, a life transition, interpersonal challenges, difficulty functioning in a world designed for neurotypicality, substance use issues, and/or low self-esteem, I am here for you.
I see a wide range of clients to support them while managing relationship stressors, trauma, anxiety, depression, illness, and to help them move in the directions they want to grow. I've taken a deep dive into the therapeutic applications of meditation, yoga and bodywork, and enjoy working somatically. I also specialize in supporting those with acute & chronic illnesses and I'm committed to providing gender-affirming care and support to the LGBTQI+ community. My website has more details.
Like most therapists, the themes of mood, trauma and grief are pervasive in the work I do. I have a particular focus on: Discovery and conflict related to identity or sexuality Existential and socio-political burdens Aging, illness, disability and health anxiety Inhibitions related to desire and creativity
Are you stressed about eating or thinking about food too much? I provide therapy for adolescents and adults across the full spectrum of disordered eating. Difficulties with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma and/or life transitions can be related to trouble with eating and body image. I work to understand how these experiences interact for each individual, tailoring therapy to fit their unique needs and strengths. My approach is weight-inclusive and queer-affirming.
My clients typically feel like they are “too much”, their emotions are “too big”, and they are “too sensitive”. I invite clients to alter their thinking and believe they are “enough” through a variety of approaches (see “my approach”). My clients are usually seeking treatment in order to increase their ability to “swim in the sea of emotions”, improve relationships with loved ones, and improve executive functioning skills (such as time management, accomplishing their to-do-list, ect).

One of my core areas of focus is working with transgender and nonbinary individuals. I understand that navigating a world often dominated by rigid gender norms and expectations can be incredibly challenging. My therapeutic practice is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming, and inclusive space where you can explore your gender identity authentically and without judgment.
Earlier in my career, I worked with adults, both individually and as members of support groups, who were experiencing grief and loss. I now also support individuals who are navigating other life challenges and transitions, including biculturalism, work/life balance, parenthood, breast cancer, and infertility. Through relationship counseling, I work with clients who are looking to strengthen their connection with each other and explore issues, such as mixed-raced relationships.
Being part of the LGBTQ+ community can be beautiful, exciting, challenging, and heartbreaking which makes finding a LGBTQ+ friendly therapist that much more important. You might be questioning your sexuality. You might wonder where you fit in. You might simultaneously love your queer life, but feel like an outsider from your biological family or the rest of the world. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community might only be one part of who you are and it might not be why you’re coming to therapy at all.
My clients tend to be individuals who struggle to advocate for themselves in relationships- whether they be work, romantic, familial or friendly. They tend to put other people's feelings before their own. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, or both. I work with a lot of people who experienced emotional neglect in childhood, and/or self centered parents, and/or very oppressive home environments.
Have you found yourself locked in a pattern of relating that leads again and again to the same negative, frustrating or unsatisfying outcomes? I help couples or individuals identify and alter these patterns, often with insight into how they developed in the first place, leading to happier and more fulfilling relationships and lives.

Many of us reach out when we feel the need for support, or help working through challenging times. Sometimes we face challenges we think are too difficult to manage alone. I believe in taking a strength-based, client-centered approach to psychotherapy, working with you to help you grow toward your best self. The familiar ways you have of dealing with life's complications may not be working; together we can work to identify new positive means of change.
My Clients mainly come to therapy to do deep work on themselves. They are done avoiding their pain and would like to work through the patterns that keep them stuck. My clients are the holders of the wisdom. I am here to help, but it's under the assumption that the healing comes from inside of you. My goal is for each person to feel empowered and supported.
Anxiety is something you’ve struggled with for a long time. While you appear to be holding it together, inside you’re dealing with feelings of dread, catastrophic thoughts that you can’t seem to stop, and constantly feeling like you need to plan for what might go wrong. The good news is that there are methods that research shows can really help. You and I will work together to identify ways to tackle anxiety and live a more full life.
Do you have a sense that something is not quite fitting for you- or that you could be accomplishing more or enjoying more? This therapy is right for you if you're ready to try something new, get a little uncomfortable, and explore what's true for you.
My approach anchored in somatic awareness is especially effective for those who are curious and committed to exploring maladaptive patterns in their life choices and their relationships. I assist adults to deepen their coping with overwhelming emotions, complex trauma, anxiety, codependence, abusive family systems and spiritual inquiries. I help couples learn conflict resolution skills, attunement, emotional intimacy and explore commitment agreements including separating respectfully.

I help people who feel anxiety and stress in relationships to feel less anxious. I know that the worry, frustration and confusion that we feel with those we care most about can feel overwhelming and can make thriving or just getting through the day much more difficult. It can also lead to unhelpful patterns with ourselves and others. Anxiety in relationships can be a real burden and I don't want you to suffer. Together we will work to get your satisfaction in relationships back.
I help clients navigate various challenges including relationships, career, and changes in their health status due to aging, illness or injury. I also coach clients seeking enhanced motivation to tackle behavioral changes related to work and health. I trained as a psychotherapist after a long career as a lawyer and enjoy helping clients focus on pragmatic goals as well as the philosophical challenges that life presents.
Are you feeling stuck in your relationships? Do you long for a healthy relationship? Are you in a relationship with someone you really care about but feel terrified it won't work out? Have you been told you are too needy or codependent? These are just some of the common experiences women can have when it comes to love. Together, I can help you feel more confident, empowered and at ease in your relationships.
