Most of my clients suffer from anxiety and depression due to psychosocial and environmental elements that feel "out of control". Feelings of being stuck in unhealthy cycles that cause challenges in relationships, social settings, and personal growth. People live in fear of the unknown and what change will produce in an already chaotic existence. Change is good! Stepping outside of your comfort zone and feeling uncomfortable brings potential to a better you. Let me guide you through this journey.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship issues, career development, and life transitions. I give you permission to redirect your focus inward and to get curious about who you are, what moves you, and what feels right for you. Your journey can shift as you go, and sometimes it can be difficult to grant yourself the space, flexibility, and caring attention you need to connect with your honest needs, values, hopes, and motivations.
Do you feel stuck on a roller coaster of hope and disappointment while life passes you by? You might finally feel hopeful that you are making progress only to find yourself strapped back into the roller coaster getting ready for another drop. You desperately want to feel free so you can control and enjoy their life. You feel too busy to go to therapy but also tired of the same cycle over and over. Therapy can help!

I work with couples and individuals to overcome life's challenges including people of all cultural and religious backgrounds. I especially enjoy working with individuals to overcome religious and spiritual trauma, childhood and family trauma, and cultural adjustment issues.
My clients have often been marginalized or exiled from the human community because of their traumatic experiences, be that from childhood trauma, interpersonal violence, or oppressive systems, institutions, or relationships. Many of my clients have learned to survive and adapt to their traumatic environments through self-injury, substance use, disordered eating and toxic relational patterns. They are looking for someone to see them and understand them, not as broken, but as hurting.
My ideal client is between 18 and 65. If you are looking to learn strategies to better manage your depression, anxiety, mood disorder or are struggling to find a healthy work life balance I am your guy. I utilize Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapies to provide skills for individuals to better manage their mental health symptoms. I am also a big believer in mindfulness and do guided meditations in session to help treat anxiety and Depression as well.
Clients whom I’ve worked well with are often experiencing issues such as relationship problems, work stress/burnout, life transitions, low self-esteem, emotional abuse/neglect, childhood trauma/injuries, work/secondary trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-sabotaging behaviors. I've worked with creative people, such as writers and actors, to help bring their work to fruition. Life is full of challenges and obstacles. Sometimes they leave us with pieces to put back together, worries about the future, scattered thoughts, and broken dreams. Being human is messy and the relationships we have with ourselves and others can often feel even messier. However, you, through your lived experiences, have a significant amount of important data about what is working for you versus what is not. Together we can use that data and determine what variables have been supportive as well as what elements may need a revised approach.
