About My Clients
I help people of all ages learn to forgive themselves for not being 'perfect' through eclectic evidence based modalities – learning to give yourself the grace you deserve & increasing the ease with which you healthily cope with the stressors of life; To learn to create a space for yourself and gain a sense of self acceptance and self actualization. I engage with you conversationally to create movement and change towards a healthy outcome through a relational and humanistic approach.
My Background and Approach
Therapy should be a non-judgmental trauma-informed space to work together on life’s impacts. Therapy that fits your unique experience and leads you to a place of learning, self-discovery, and overall wellness. I have a Masters of Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in mental health as well as a Masters (MA) in women’s studies and gender studies both from Loyola University Chicago. My undergraduate degree is in psychology with a minor in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe firmly in the power of connection – especially when it comes to healing. My clinical expertise fosters the therapeutic relationship as well as self-forgiveness. I utilize an evidence-based psychotherapy approach while also incorporating psychoeducation & lived experience. Therapy that fosters collaborative and compassionate care. I’ve been fortunate to work with a diverse and high-need population with unique backgrounds and barriers, and I know I’m able to meet clients and families where they are.
