You may find yourself feeling like you are surrounded by a forest of pressures and uncertainty in your life or not knowing what or who you can rely on. Daily pressures may feel like you can't control your thoughts from going into a downward spiral. Feeling like you need to have all the answers, all of the time. Excessive pressures can leave you feeling like no matter what you do, you are letting others down or not meeting your own goals. It’s ok to let go, surrender, and allow help.
The to-do list is never-ending and what’s done never feels quite enough. You are diligent about keeping on top of things and it’s gotten you pretty far. But, you find yourself asking “I’m running myself ragged for this?” Well, you are not alone. My clients are busy, professionals who feel stressed, anxious, and struggle with imposter syndrome. They seem put together on the outside but struggle with burnout and feeling like they are one step away from catastrophe.

My clients are genuine humans. They walk into my office and expose vulnerable parts of themselves. The folks I work with are especially thoughtful and ready to dive in. They are usually looking for support and an alternative perspective, or approach, to their concerns. We connect together through open conversation, laughter, and sometimes even silence. If this sounds appealing to you, we would likely be a good fit.
I provide trauma-focused individual and group therapy for adults. Typical concerns of the people I work with include managing the effects of traumatic experiences, relationship issues, intense emotions, and grief. Areas of special focus include supporting survivors of sexual violence and adults healing from the effects of child abuse and relational trauma in their families of origin including sexual abuse, incest, neglect, and intimate partner violence.
When your relationship is suffering, you're suffering. Sometimes, incredibly so. Maybe the person you used to feel so close to now seems more like a distant stranger. Maybe a betrayal has left you outraged and alone. Maybe all the fighting and miscommunication makes you wonder at times what you ever saw in your partner at all. My clients are couples, individuals and families who want to love each other more fully and strengthen their bonds.
So many of us are searching for who we truly are. We’re so encapsulated in who we should be being for others, that we end up losing ourselves. This shows up most frequently in intimate relationships. Our desire for unconditional love from another supersedes our need for physical connection. Emotion trumps sexuality. And what goes on within our mind shuts down the abilities of our body. Are you feeling lost in your relationship? Are you craving more intimacy?
My clients are individuals living with anxiety, depression, and PTSD related to chronic illness and/or lived experience of violence (individual, community, intergenerational, historical) and are seeking a safe and compassionate space for tending to and processing the past, connecting to the present, growing skills, and healing. I specialize in working with those living with complex medical diagnoses (or multiple symptoms with no diagnosis), challenging prognoses, and "watchful waiting."

When I first meet with people, some of my first questions I might ask are: - What made you hit the "Search therapists" button? - Do you have difficulty making decisions? - Feel stuck or lost when it comes to your direction in this busy life you've got going on? - Do you feel like things are just simply, unmanageable? I want my clients to feel at home in my office and talking to me about all of these questions, the way you feel comfortable talking to your closest friends and confidants.
Are you feeling misunderstood or perhaps not feeling heard at all? My intention is to offer a safe and non-judgmental space for adults to talk through past and present feelings and situations that may be uncomfortable, painful, stressful or overwhelming. I most often work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief/loss, folks wanting to engage in identity exploration, as well as support to individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community.
I work holistically with clients who are struggling with issues related to: Mood, anxiety and body image concerns; Life transitions; Identity & relational problems; Trauma. I value your histories, identities & experiences and view these as vital to treatment and working together to improve your quality of life.
