AAre you experiencing anxiety, depression, or PTSD and you aren't quite sure how to improve things? Do you tend to emotionally eat to deal with life challenges and that impacts your mental health? Are you wanting a more holistic approach rather than just focusing on medication or talk therapy? I work with adults ages 18 and older (if 18, must be out of high school). All genders and orientations are welcome and the groups are not gender-specific. I work with clients at different stages in their recovery and help them to address any ambivalence.
I specialize in working with couples and individuals ages 16 and up on the complex reality we call life. No one is truly an island, so I use a relational and systemic approach to understand and address all the cultural, social, and internal influences impacting an individual’s or couple’s well-being. Together, we will uncover how emotions, internal processing, attachments, relationships, and trauma are impacting your happiness and drive.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
I enjoy working with teen and adult clients who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, addiction, eating disorders, parenting challenges, conflict resolution, boundaries and self-esteem issues. I believe with non-judgmental emphatic listening and the trust within therapeutic relationship, people have the inherent motivation to improve themselves and change their unhealthy behaviors, thoughts.
I tend to work with older adolescents, young adults, and adults, who are dealing with issues associated with shifting life roles, exploration of identity, anxiety and/or depression, difficulty with relationships, caregiver stress, grief and loss, seeking more meaning and purpose to their life, and/or seeking healing from inner wounds and trauma.

I enjoy working with clients who want to find new ways to navigate life’s challenges as well as their mental health symptoms. They may be struggling with symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, trauma processing and triggers, interpersonal relationships, or addiction behaviors such as excessive spending, eating, or holding on to items that are affecting their well-being. Clients may want to identify patterns that are holding them back from the life they want.
I am a current Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and I hold a Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota. I specialize in various areas, including LGBTQ+ related concerns, anxiety/depression, self-worth/self-esteem, and more. Walking through life in an increasingly challenging world can leave us feeling out of touch with ourselves, bending to who we think we “should” be, and unsure of who we want to be. I work with my clients to help them embrace their natural curiosity, explore the patterns/behaviors that feel incongruous with their values, challenge the negative self-talk that holds them back, and help them to engage more fully in the joy that life can hold.
