About My Clients
My therapy clients are typically ages 10-21 and often work with me on issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity (including gender, sexuality, race, culture, disability) and self-advocacy, often in the context of neurodevelopmental differences, such as autism or ADHD.
My Background and Approach
My neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy starts with an understanding and genuine appreciation of all the different ways our brains work. I offer a safe, welcoming space in which folks can be who they are and explore emotional issues related to masking, sensory overload, and social communication differences. My approach to therapy does not try to “fix” autism, ADHD, or learning differences. Rather, I work with my clients to identify effective strategies for their individual needs while centering their unique gifts and supporting their self-advocacy.
