As your counselor, I will help you process your life experiences and equip you with the tools needed to take control of your life.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate and Nationally Certified Counselor. My areas of training include individual counseling, group counseling, adolescent counseling, and family counseling. Because I believe that a client’s self-awareness is key to developing self-direction and independence, my counseling practice will be guided by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. My counseling approach will include solution talk, miracle questions, journaling, homework, positive meaning-making, positive self-talk, identifying strengths, and behavior modification. My approach will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths. Together, we will remove the barriers that keep you from living a fulfilled life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental environment because authenticity is the key to self-awareness and personal growth. We must be real with ourselves in order to create real change. While I have worked with individuals from various backgrounds, I know that every person is unique and will strive to understand your unique worldview.
