In therapy, we can explore the many issues that accompany the experience of chronic pain or illness - thought patterns, core beliefs, emotional experience, adjustment and acceptance to your condition, impacts on relationships and functioning, and anything else that arises for you. I have completed and continue to pursue trainings focused on CBT, mindfulness, and yoga practices specifically for chronic pain and illness.

The only constant is change, but some transitions are bigger and more daunting than others. In therapy, we can work together to find your footing as you navigate transitions (breakups, moving, changing jobs, etc.) We can look back on where you are coming from - what you would like to bring with you and what you would like to leave behind. We can examine what arises in the midst of the change, and look ahead with intention to a meaningful future on the other side.

Stress is an inevitable part of life and it seems like there is plenty to go around, now more than ever. Just because *everyone* you know is experiencing some level of stress (on individual, environmental, systemic, and collective levels), doesn't mean that you should accept and neglect your own experience of the same. Stress has a real impact on your physical and mental well being - you deserve the opportunity for rest, refuge, and safety to process, along with effective tools to manage stress.

I am trained in EMDR through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness; I am in the process of completing the required consultation hours. This is a compelling and effective modality, which empowers you with resources and coping skills, tapping into your body and brain's innate wisdom to process and resolve challenging experiences, memories, beliefs, and thought patterns.

We can incorporate mindfulness practices in the therapeutic process, noticing and observing thought patterns, feelings, sensations, and experiences in the body in the present moment. We can practice a variety of mindfulness techniques in session - which you can then incorporate into your routine and life. I continue to pursue education and training on trauma-informed mindfulness practices.
